Yeah, I know the ending was meant to be a cliffhangers and I know wars started because ML took the country’s fortune with him, but man……how could they kill such an important character like that? It’s such an anticlimactic way of dying. His death was even less described than a side character. I’m rewatching the drama now because there are a lot of details I didn’t watch closely the first time since I don’t get into it until after the explosion in the palace.

I watched this in my own language and there are multiple times the other state officials called him a eunuch or words that only use to insult a eunuch.

It got a lot better after ep 19. I can’t believe the ending though. Cant believe Wei Yuan died just like that in less than 30 seconds of a summary.

Is Wei Yuan a eunuch? How did that happened? I thought he was a warrior who fought against the enemy.

Probably not. Sucks because I like the cast of this drama.

in the novel, is ML from modern times as well? If he is, it be a shame he has multiple wives.

when does it get good? Im on ep 19 now and it only start being good after the explosion. i dont think the comedy is that funny either. I'm watching this for Dylan Wang and TXW, but for some reason, i find this drama boring. Please don't hate me. The acting is great however!

Crown Princess set the fire to eastern palace to switch her son so he can survive. I assume she knew her son would be in danger so she set the fire to save him. The old king set up the fire in his own consort’s palace to blame it on WY. No idea why she jump back onto the fire and kill herself. He ends up murdering everyone anyways.

It was just rumors in the street that she’s a daughter of a traitor. She admit it to the people. WY is showing proof to the king that she’s a daughter traitor who escaped from death so she is making up stories to clear her father’s name so she doesn’t have to die.

Just finished the drama and not understanding the storyline. Why did ML’s uncle have to take the blame for the king? He killed the king already, why does he need to take the blame for the king as well? Why not just tell the truth that the king was jealous or crown prince and tried to set him up instead he blamed FL’s father? Or he could even blame the other guy for not accepting the military seal instead of FL’s father and called him a traitor.

I think anyone would go mad if they’re stuck in a world like this for that long and everyone is against him. Though, how he suddenly changed when he met FL in ep 1. One gotta wonder if his changing is because he wants to use her as a means for his survival? Or he is a nice person. Someone mentioned he was trying to follow the original plot so I’m not sure all his evil doings are his own or he was trying to follow whatever script he remembered. I’m only on ep 2.

That means there won’t be a happy ending then. I mean at least a happy ending when ML and FL will return to the real world and date each other. He’s a teenager whereas she’s maybe in her late 20s? Won’t be legal.
