truthfully? i don't know 🥲 i'm really new to this cdrama world, due my recent bedrest, i just simply pass my time by watch cdramas. and holy shit, in few months, i just realized how crazy the fandoms. mostly is the actor/actress oriented, not the actual quality of the drama. so when discussing or even questioning some drama, some fans will be triggered and even accused me as hater.
somehow i learn that if i want to keep enjoy cdrama, i better stay hidden in the dark, don't make comment anywhere.
but i can never get into any to other ones(historical drama), there all about the palace life and every male lead…
try the tale of lady ok, it's not royal/palace life. it has really good story as well, though not as complex as my dearest, but i enjoy lady ok very much, it is really interesting kind of story.

if you want light romance, my dearest might not be the answer. it's heavy, very romantic, the most realistic romantic of k drama i've ever seen, but heavy.. a lot of longing and yearning, old style/classic kind of tragedy. but truthfully, it is all really good story, still is the best series for me. so, please give it a chance to watch it when you are ready for it. you won't regret :)

omg, exactly what i thought, but i'm really afraid to say it. since it's very popular and somehow their fanatic will not approved this comment. i stop at ep 8, then just recently binge it til the newest episode. i was so so confused, since the story is really change somehow into comedy, and even slapstick one, kinda messy (?), it's still entertaining though. i'm just not sure if i like it or not, just entertaining enough.

I think maybe these deep dramas may be too hard for you to comprendo so find something to your taste and liking.
