On A Dream within a Dream Jul 12, 2025
I've watched too many C-dramas with unnecessary sad or open ending. I hope A Dream within a Dream will be a turning point for the future projects. Break our hearts, confuse our minds, but give the audiences a PERFECT ending.

What are you watching next? I wanted to start the princess gambit but after reading the comments on that page,…
I couldn't agree more. The cliff jumping scene killed it.

Funny thing was ADWAD had the same scene but executed it better. 😆

And yeah, I have to add — the dolphin kiss was the cutest thing EVER
Because dolphins are playful, just like SYM and NH. 😆

Dear, he's Bei Xiong. And Bei Xiong is a fictional character in a book just like Nan Feng and Song Xiao Yu. The real life book writer is the chubby woman at the end.

Recalling this drama is a comedy and has lots of satire, I guess the way the screenwriter treats his script characters is a satire, too.

I skipped the opening and closing songs, and 2x speed for CGH scenes. 😁😤 Oops.

You're welcome. It's 40 episode. It needs lots of patient to watch all of them. But the closure is sooo satisfying.

When does Song Yi Meng get clear about Yi Ting? It's dragging. I'm on episode 21.

It's 40 episode drama. It needs lots of patient to watch it. Most of us watch it for 16 days since it airs. 😅

I know, right? When we frustrated about this drama, we wanted it to reveal all the answers. But when we reached the ending, we were not ready to say goodbye. 😭😭😭

Yes! I remember this is a comedy drama and the word "satire" helps me to forgive this error and watch through. 😄😄

Even if the screenwriter is a fictional character, he is a writer. The point is we love every character we created.

I understand that. I do. I even feels the pressure in many platforms to write repetitive tropes, it kills me. 😅

For this so-called screenwriter, he desperately defends his original script in episode 1. I believe he cares about it.

I can even feel with his protest and frustration when the characters keep changing the story or plot. Because it happens with me, too, when I get too involve in writing. 😆😆

However, being heartless toward the characters is weird.

I'm a writer. I don't get the screenwriter's logic about the characters in his script.
We usually treat all the characters like our children. We love, care, and remember every detail of them. We keep the notes everywhere (laptop, G-drive, flash drive, books, sticky notes, etc) We even cry like an idiot (*sorry*) when we have to kill one or more of them, and can't sleep or eat after.

However, the screenwriter in this drama treats all his script characters so awful and heartless. He doesn't even like the ML. Gosh. No wonder he wrote terrible key scenes, and the characters are causing riots. 😝
