To trust your loved one after he/she constantly lying is almost impossible. It's easy for viewers to say Xu Yan is genuine, but Hao Ming doesn't see what we see. From his POV, she's acting.
They are adults. Both can peacefully talk when they're ready. However, Xu Yan and Hao Ming are victims of both lies. So, hoping for Hao Ming to crawl and beg is too much. Even Xu Yan won't want to see that.
