Great show!I just wonder why majority of writers think that the FL always needs to be either poor or oppressed/bullied…
I think people want to associate with him because he is loved by the public. His father and brother died in succession and he rose up as the regent doing duties for his young nephew. So, the public can't help loving him but he still has to answer to the queen who is the senior most member of the royal family. His currency is him being popular. Queen mother feels affected by his popularity because she's expecting the baby king to compete with a full grown adult. Even BWS character himself says the royal family can't do anything but keep still. It kind of reminds of what the Queen Elizabeth's policy was never explain, never complain.

Help me analyze this. Why did he reject her meeting requests so many times before finally accepting? I think we…
I think it's mostly teasing and maybe just maybe he thinks they have a personal connection as senior and junior so he wanted her lead with that? Oh and also seems like he's wary of associating with businessmen and politicians alike as he told queen mother so her applying as a junior saves him that headache too.

I haven't started my watch of this yet because I'm still watching a few other dramas I want to finish first. But…
Unfortunately Wooseok has become a bit of a tall poppy in the kdrama sphere. I saw literal verified accs on twitter made specifically just to hate on him. He's such a nice person and a good actor. It's unfortunate.

Princes and kings have a royal title bestowed to them anytime. This action pretty much changes the name that he's…
No problem! I'm also confused why they didn't explain certain things since some of the nonkorean audience like us aren't privy to this.

Lee Young means bright. Lee Shin means protector/guardian so he's father is saying to be loyal to the crown and Lee Ahn lastly means to stay still/humble. So, everytime his title is changed it's meant to be more demeaning than the previous title.

But seriously how are they even allowing unreleased episodes to be rated and for the series to be review bombed?

i think the second one. he purposely lose to avoid in the way of becoming king of his brother.
Yeah if you see all of the parents including Yirang, they treat their children as monarchs/royals first, children second. So, for the king who must maintain royal order, Lee Ahn is a perpetual thorn on his side.

I interpreted it as him yielding to his father's request at being contained. In the scene of the previous episode the father changes his military title to Lee Ahn as in someone who has to live within the confines and not shine.

Title Perfect Crown Spoiler
Anyone thinking that Yi An might become king some time during the series?
But don't you think it's a bad look for him to take the throne from the baby king?

real how is he allowed to say sm about the grand prince and his weaknesses to ppl he just met?
He has a loose mouth I guess? πŸ˜†The grand prince also tells him to shut up several times. Actually telling the doctor makes sense since he has to maintain hippa and doctor patient privilege but saying so much to Heejoo was certainly a choice.

Can someone please explain the set up to me, because it is not making any sense. Okay, so FL is illegitimate,…
The pm is not considered the regent. The regent works on diplomatic issues on behalf of the king but if he's married and working out of the palace then all the responsibilities will fall on the pm because the king is still young and they don't have enough adult royals to perform said duties.

The whole time I'm thinking that the aide is saying too much to Heejoo πŸ˜† Like Choi Hyun let's shut up and not tell everything to Heejoo and her doctor πŸ˜†

Netflix missed a great opportunity again. Didn't they learn from the success of Lovely Runner?
It's because mbc has an exclusive deal with disney+. So,all mbc dramas are up for grabs to them first unfortunately.

Byeon Wooseok did such an amazing job. Him and Gong Seungyeon's chemistry is so good. Yu Subin made me laugh several times. Overall a very enjoyable watch.

The crazy irl shippers from his previous show are amplifying this
They attack any and all women in close proximity to him. It's been 2 years yet these people are still at it trying to sabotage his drama.

On a few posts people are commenting that IU and BWS are giving sibling vibes. Why are people obsessed with actors…

Even in absolute monarchies, young monarchs are present throughout history.
Hmm I think it's because of Confucian ideals followed by Korean royals which emphasizes direct bloodlines. But that aside even in western monarchies, the order of succession is determined by lineage. For example: Prince George is 2nd in line for succession and his uncle Prince Harry is 5th in line after all his nieces and nephews despite the monarchy being symbolic like this drama. The royal family is innately a symbol of tradition so it makes sense that the ascension to the throne would follow that.

Interesting that the king is a child. I suppose it doesn't REALLY matter here since the monarchy doesn't hold…

Lol for your kind information IU was their first choice for QOTs but she declined the role as she had already…
Scroll down. I've commented several times. I'm saying that you're here stroking fan wars between Jiwon and Iu for no reason.
