6-7 means the show was enjoyable for me to watch despite its flaws, and I don't regret spending time on it. That's where "Pursuit of Jade" is (closer to 7 actually).

Imagine having "Nirvana in Fire" rated lower than "Pursuit of Jade".
And I even liked "PoJ", but come on...

Well, 9.2 is a higher rating than "Nirvana in Fire" - so in this case it's FAKE AS HELL!
But also, 9.2 is higher than "Romance of the Female Soldier" at 8.6, so in this case it's somehow deserving :).

Is this the best show ever? Of course not.
Is this the best Idol drama ever? Also not, but IMO it's clearly above-average.
But it's an enjoyable ride, seen much, much worse. Of course, a lot depends on your priorities.

Just don't start with the "Nirwana in Fire", so your expectations for the future won't be too high.

I started with "Princess Agents" many years ago, and it's been a decent choice, despite the terrible ending.

Blossom IMO had a really intense rebellion, though. Possibly one of the best I've ever seen (and pretty much every drama I watched had them).

The MDL ratings are a mess, people also tend to overuse descriptions like "great" (or beautiful and many more).

Back to the Micro Dramas world, but considering trying out "Blossoms in Adversity".
Also, awaiting the english subtitles of the last 2 episodes of the "Wu Zetian" (1995).

Like I have written before - in some way it was a reverse of "Journey to Love", where Liu ShiShi's character was supposed to be a legendary assassin, so legendary that even ML didn't know how she looked.
Yet, somehow she got injured by some amateurs in Episode 1, of course losing half of her fighting skills for many episodes ( we wouldn't agree to have a more powerful FL, wouldn't we), and had to be rescued by the ML multiple times during the Drama.

Yeah, shit happens.

Yet, "PoJ" was nowhere bad in this aspect, as it was supposed to be a FL-centric story, with the FL's growth prioritised over already established Marquis.

Also, among the Dramas I watched with a Power Couple (in combat knowledge), it was literally the 1st Drama ever where the FL got a bit more of moments to shine over the ML.
