The extraordinarily capable and well-acted FL made it watchable, but in the end, the writers clearly forgot about some things which were promised. And really, 90 minutes would be enough here.

Also, it's hard to take seriously the 2ML punishment (except for death, I guess) if he didn't seem to be hurt much after the 1st "encounter" with the beggars.

And, around the 54-55th minute, the ML was promoted to super-duper-fighter level, while the so far unbeatable Maid was sent to a Martial Artist cannon-fodder role. This was really not needed, and of course, stupid Romance is to blame for this. Like always.

Yeah, this was my big issue with this one, and of course, the fact that many times she had to be saved by the ML.

I love the FL who are forward-thinking; unfortunately, Princess Wei Young was not. I've heard she was better/stronger in the book, though.

Regarding forward-thinking FL against the scheming villains - nobody does it better than Lu Songli.

I watched "Threads of Destiny" with her and it was quite good until certain point.

In general, I like femcentric Dramas with consistently strong female leads - the word "consistently" is probably the most challenging ;).
And the less Romance, the better. Unless I really like the ML (but it happens rarely),

Well, I have no idea about the financial aspects of the Microdramas, this Drama including - I only see that it didn't have a crazy view numbers on YT, but the comments were one-sidedly enthusiastic, especially after Season 1.
If I weren't one of them, I would have thought they are all bought :)

Regarding the tempo - at this moment it looks like at least Five Seasons will be needed:
- Episode 3 should be building up the economic power of their region, and the rise of FL's father (behind her planning of course) and the conflicts against Barbarians
- Episode 4 should be the Rebellion and New World Order of the old Dynasty
- Episode 5 should be the final war and challenges to change a Dynasty

Do they make and have enough money to film all these Episodes?? No Idea

I dropped Shadow Love after two episodes, as the FL had to be saved in both of them, which made me wonder how she became a general in the first place and survived for so many years, without knowing the ML.

I ask myself the same question pretty much in every Drama, where the FL is supposed to be a "badass/strong female lead".

Typically, it's a little bit better regarding "Smart female leads", but they also are losing half of their IQ points way too easily, just because the writers feel the need to progress the Romance by the ML saving them over and over and over again...

Fortunately, in the latter category, at least Lu Songli was the FL done right, in both Novel and the Live adaptation (at least so far).

Ooooh, it's nice to finally meet someone who hates it happening almost as much as I do :).

She as also excellent in "Song of Glory" a few years ago, so it seems she has natural talent and looks/acting for it.
Among the top actresses, only Liu Shishi in "Journey to Love" was in my opinion on the same level.

Just watched it - still quite decent, but nowhere as good as Part 1. But to be honest, also in the Novel the "The Road to Exile" was the weakest Part for me too.

The segment starting at 2:15 was extremely boring and quite confusing, just like in the book.

Also, the opening minutes differ a bit compared to the Novel - as the Evil Officer wasn't as important in the book as here, but was still killed.

Of course, I hope the next Parts will be produced as well - the Part 2 ends around Chapter 208 out of 775 of the Novel.

And hocus pocus, it changed into 82 episodes :).

First observation - they progressed only a bit in Part 2 compared to the original material, still over 500 chapters to cover from the Novel.

So, as this microdrama (especially Part 1) appears to have garnered enthusiastic comments - at least based on YouTube - perhaps there will be Part 3, Part 4, etc.

Very strong and capable FL on the revenge path. The ML and the Romance was horrific, but it's secondary for me, so I didn't care much.
