I mean it basically it. The whole plot is about the fight between FL & her sister scheming against each other.…
There is more variety in microdramas, partially because there are so many of them,
But thanks to that, it's possible to find capable FLs who don't restrict herself by playing defence only. And are ruthless enough to not let villains live for too long.
I am sure folks who watch a-tier dramas with big stars and budget will hang me out to dry, but this was better…
I agree it was a decent watch, for comparison, IMO much better than "Romance of a Female Soldier", which was a pretty automatic FF half of the time for me.
But, every time the FL got dumber or just been to nice to people scheming against her, I missed Lu Songli :(
Well, at the beginning we got a smart, capable and likeable leads - The ML was way above average compared to typically shitty MLs and their acting, I have to survive on regular basis. However, as always, the leads were way too passive, playing defence mostly and were giving the villains too much of a leeway.
That's why, in the end, we got one rebirth too many, and the only way for them to win was to get help from the FL's sister, who should have been killed a long time ago. Which made them look quite incompetent, at least in my eyes.
So, It was a nice ride, but in the end, I am a bit disappointed.
However, the Acting was very solid, the production values were very good for a short drama, music was nice too. Just a bit too many tropes for my taste, and after Episode 21, it got really, really messy.
And, I am probably the only one who would like to see a few episodes more of an original timeline, just to see the way FL was able to survive her original husband and even make him a better, or at least a more successful person.
But of course, the FL's marriage with an useless guy will never get serious screentime, it always has to be a handsome Prince who hides his abilities because of the big, bad secret from the past.
I've recently realized something similar with "Minglan" as an example- the era of truly great Dramas is…
I don't have a problem with descriptions of "good" and "ok", but it doesn't change the fact that for me making a truly great Drama with LYN as the Male Lead is possible.
I cannot even begin to compare the two. A Journey to Love far surpasses this drama in every way — from the main…
Well, "ROFS" has a better ending, for once, and even if He Yan's highs weren't as high as Ren Xin, she at least didn't think about getting pregnant during the most important mission of her life. Which was one of the stupidest things done by the supposedly smart/capable FL, I've ever seen in a Drama.
"AJTL" kills the "ROFS" in production quality, editing, music (even if the latter isn't bad here either).
Both have very disappointing villains, so it's a tie, I guess, in that category.
Also, both FLs were saved so many times by the MLs to push the Romance, that I struggled to think how both survived until now without MLs in sight. So another tie.
HelloooooAfter this one and shadow love , what are y'all watching? Can be a drama of few years back ( starting…
I find it very difficult to find anything interesting in 2025 - I somehow finished "ROFS" (but pretty much already forgot it and it has zero re-watch value for me), but dropped Shadow Love after a few episodes.
There are a few upcoming dramas that look intriguing, but I don't have high expectations these days.
The only two recent (2024-25) Big Damas I really enjoyed were "Blossom" and "Flourished Peony" (but only Season 1).
I've had high expectations of "Are you the One?", but I'm stuck at Episode 10, as it's extremely boring, and even Wan Chu Ran's beauty doesn't help anymore.
These days, I enjoy Vertical/Micro Dramas more, if you know what you are looking for (I like Dramas with strong/capable/smart FLs, unlike watered-down versions from Big Productions) you can find enough stuff to watch. And quality continues getting better.
For example, Lu Songli from " After Changing the Marriage, It's Reasonable for Me to Change the Country" pretty much ruined other so-called "Smart Female Leads" for me.

This one is really, really good, definitely one of my favourite Revenge Harem Dramas. Chang Dan Dan is not only beautiful, but extremely smart, capable and ruthless on her Revenge track, but two main villainesses are really smart and they don't make it easy for her. Highly recommended.
To show her brilliance, the way she destroys her female opponent's brother is both beautiful and ruthless.- She…
At least, it would have to be - Exile + Rebellion in Part 2 and winning the war vs Song Dynasty and Xianbei Barbarians (economical and military) in Part 3.
But it still would be difficult, as their Exile was quite an adventure and there were also many events leading to the Rebellion.

I came here to post this one :)
Very good Drama, with a rare Female Ruler taking over the Court early and fighting various forces to establish herself. The FL is a total badass, with a great combination of scheming, calculating opponents and fighting.
Instead of letting them of the hook every time and just wait for them to attack again.

It's like winning a lottery :).
Let's hope it won't disappoint me (like 95% of the Dramas).
And it's so typical, with the FLs in Dramas - despite the badass female tag - getting saved over and over and over again, mostly due to F'n Romance.
No idea how long it will take though...
It's coming :)
However, for me, the poster suggests it will be the last part - will they really cover over 600 chapters, after only covering 145 in Part 1?
You can also check FL-centric Micro Dramas on my Playlist - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL07cQXP6zFrZTavwmT5YLL3CpmMKNHJlP (the above Drama is first-second on the list - two different subs versions)

Btw, if you want to watch another Drama with an all-around capable/badass FL who rules the country, you can try this one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R576uexlQ-M&lc=

Even the ML/Romance isn't too bad.
