persuit of jade douban ratings 6.8 with 80 k viewers rate.not even cross 100 k viewers vote.i don't know how this…
It does really well internationally so maybe it's international fans rating it high, it seems like domestic viewers are not that impressed but internationally it's doing really really well, it's the first Mainland Chinese drama to reach top 10 on Netflix. But at least some domestic fans must have enjoyed it too, I read Deng Kai had gained 500,000 followers since his role in Pursuit of Jade and these followers are domestic fans. I guess it's just more popular internationally than domestically I don't know.
The latter episodes has degraded, pushing the drama quality down closer to standard idol based cdrama quality.…
I agree and now it's like they realized "oh wait she is completely outshining and demasculating the ML lets make her dumb and silly and cute and incapable of learning anything from books so at least he is more clever than her." I wouldn't be surprised if she suddenly starts to speak in a baby voice. Not to mention that the new low in lack of realism. Like how ML just casually rant about wanting to dispose the emperor and cutting off the ear of the head eunuch, and her just leaving to meat in the middle of a royal edict. As if. But anyway I'm still enjoying this drama very much. I'm starting to question my taste LOL and the cutting off the head eunuchs ear was fun to watch. I've clearly developed a tacky taste in Cdramas as the drama goes along...
It made to top 10?? Lol!that's crazy. Cdramas fans know how we watch cdramas...and its NOT ON AMERICAN PLATFORMS…
And Netflix in Europe apparently decided it's not for the European market so it's not even on Netflix in much of Europe. Impressive tht it made it to top 10.
I am not surprised, the traffic on the iQIYI app has created a huge buffering issue, which is shocking because…
Sometimes I can't even get in to watch the drama, I can watch other dramas so it's not the app, it seems like too much viwevers at once, never exerienced this before.
I saw on Facebook and Reddit that there has been a lot of hate for the drama in China because they say some of these platforms cheat and exaggerate the number of viewers to boost popularitity. And then I saw a lot of post criticizing the platforms for not including international viewers in Europe, Canada and US so they don't count in viewership numbers and are not included in the heat index etc. But I did see once that a Cdrama was ranked as the most streamed in South America so they must include international viewers in some way? And if they are criticized for counting too many viewers in one place why not just start including the many international viewers who feel left out and not taken serious?
