Its so refreshing!! im so irritated with the cheap AI scenes. Everyone praises Pursuit of Jade for their high production and cinematography but in the end those stupid AI shots make it feel cheap.

I think it looks cheap to you because you are new to the cdrama world and you watched the recent productions like pursuit of jade, which is really hard to beat because the cinematography is really high. A lot of cdramas get shelved and have a long process of getting released because of many reasons like censorships and so on. if it helps, they way I appreciate dramas like these is the the refreshing look from all the AI stuff. Don't worry girl I was just like you too. But trust me the more you watch the more you understand and value these dramas. Its gonna bother you at first. But its definitely better than cheap AI intros and replaced AI shots.

Yes I agree!! that's what make it all the engaging and unique. Its really captivates a productions creativity and thought put into the fantasy world. I've always been a non-fiction girl. But knowing how deep lore can go in fantasy dramas, I've been intrigued.

hey guys, can someone educate me on xian xia world. So everyone has powers through years of cultivation right? Also through the acedemy, what do all the people gain? And what is immortal? is immortality something everyone wants? Are there people with no powers? im a little confused

oooo okay makes sense honestly. I guess it’s different if you blindly just watch the drama like me. As a non novel reader it was good but i understand why people who read the novel had expectations

im really glad the story went like this because i watched My love with greg hsu and zhang rounan anf was traumatized. They loved eachother but they were not in a stable position and their love was tested. I love that both ML and FL here worked hard toward their goals to achieve a better life for themselves together.

I will be listening to the osts all summer!! thus drama has become my favorite summer comfort show.

i think the slow burn was really nice! the subtle glipses of eachother and long stares and silent care for eachother was way more romantic than fast paced romance. The longing was really good. I think the dramas focus was on youth and hope for the future. Romance was secondary. Honestly it was a more of a feel good drama. if the romance started earlier there woulve been unnecessary breakups which i hate. Although we shouldve gotten at least 4-5 episodes of their romance story.

very well executed drama literally no flaws… Pacing was good, amazing romance, perfect chemistry, storytelling, and cinematography. For me it marked all my standards for a drama.

theres a good chance they wont show them date in highschool but more so after, becuase china encourages for students to focus on studies than dating so they never televise highschool dating. Thats why you will see them have crushes and flings and then they start dating in college.

I relate to qing ye so so much… She’s my inspiration, how can she be so positive? I dont want to hear anyone saying her being snobby in the beginning of the show. She is way better than so many people thats going through what she is (me included). I want to work hard toward my goals like her. Wish i also had a distant cousin to help me out though lol. This show is so refreshing, I love it so much!! They did an excellent job with casting because im loving the Auntie.
