To be honest, I enjoyed PA more, despite the cliffhanger ending.

I'm not sure I will like this show. At the moment it's too over-the-top, melodramatic and focused on "looking cool" for me.

Even if it will turn out something I don't enjoy, I am grateful it has brought Princess Agents to my attention as a fan who only started watching cdramas last August and who usually stayed away from pre-2020 cdramas. It has become one of my favourite shows despite ending on a cliffhanger.

it makes no sense for Yan Xun to get to the hall on his wedding day considering the emperor had no plans to let the wedding take place and actually planned to ambush and kill the groom on his way. How do you sneak an army into the palace ?!?

I was thinking the exact same thing when watching the opening scene.
Also how loose was Yan Xun's wedding gown and how thin was he in order for no one to notice that he was wearing an armour under wedding gown.

The drama starts from where Princess Agents ended. There are flashbacks, but, in my opinion, in order to appreciate the drama and understand the characters and the plot, you need to watch Princess Agents.
I'm not saying it's absolutely necessary, but you will struggle otherwise.

She was 17 and almost a half when the show was filmed. She has also starred in Perfect Match when she was 16 and a half and nobody had any problems.

Directors and screenwriters of cdramas are expert at romantic relationships without anything physical happening, so I'm sure that everything will be OK otherwise it wouldn't have passed censorship.

I think it's a remake because they keep the OG family names of the characters from the novel, not from Princess Agents. For example, Yuwen is Zhuge, Yuan is Zhao etc.
Also, the trailers show a lot of scenes from Princess Agents that are happening differently here.
And a final note, it doesn't seem that anyone from the previous project is involved in this one.

She filmed Perfect Match in 2024 and people didn't have an issue with that. So let's hope the director isn't pushing any boundaries in this drama.

I'm not sure how accurate this is, but Viki says 3 episodes are coming out tomorrow.

She played the female lead as a child in the original version and I think it's cool she gets to play the adult in the remake/sequel.

How far did you get? For me, it was kind of mid until episode 20 and afterwards I loved everything about the show.
It also helped that I watched Scarlet Heart OG just before this as a palate cleanser.

I cannot see the drama in wetv or iqiyi, but it is advertised on viki, so I think it will be the same scenario as with Glory and Love Between Lines (aka geoblock and no express packs). I'm starting to regret buying vip premium for 1 year on iQiyi.
