Every character feels different in rebirth so might as well just watch rebirth as independent drama. PA is better…
They explain the basics of Princess Agents via flashbacks in Rebirth, but you do not get to understand the nuances regarding the characters, their motivations and their relationships to each other.
If I was A'chu I'd pick Yan Xun but I'm not and the heart wants what it wants. Wen Yue is a morally grey person.…
I think the reason A'Chu does not pick YX is because she finally sees his real character. He never let her in on his plans, because he knew she would disapprove and fight to change his mind. He wants her by his side, but not actively involved.
He reminds me of Liu Yan from The Prisoner of Beauty... he might view the FL as a treasure, but he treats everyone else like ants.
I can't! I literally dropped this in the middle of Ep.14 last year and decided to pick it back up again and man...…
The characters are so well-written in this drama. It's interesting to me how much you get attached to the 2nd male lead and, because of that, even whe he starts showing his true colours, you keep justifying it and making excuses for him until it's too late.
did you watch the double it's the only one i watched with this director and i loved it, i'm not gonna watch this…
I did and I loved it except for the last minutes of the final episode. He messed up the ending from the novel, implying the duke died by beheading while facing the enemy army by himself, and that the main couple reunited after death . Then he went and shot a special episode showing everything was OK mainly due to public outrage.
I watched Generation to Generation which came out earlier this year. At the end of the drama, the FL places the ashes of the villain next to her dead aunt's grave, who was a renowned heroine of the realm, because they used to be friends before she died. The villain had killed all their surviving friends and has been obsessed with the aunt for decades.
There are many other issues I have with his dramas, but these particular choices seem spiteful to me and lead me to believe the director is a misogynist who hates to see intelligent women be happy and in charge of their own destinies.
Keeping the same cast won’t save the story, and smart actors won’t join a flat storyline anyway. The changes…
If this is the level of storytelling the author is capable of, I understand their need to plagiarise. Princess Agents didn't need camera work to keep the viewers engaged, nor did it rely on the beauty of the cast to tell the story. Because there was a story to tell.

The cast isn't the main issue, the storytelling is. And it's not nostalgia speaking, I only watched Princess Agents two weeks ago for the first time. The plot makes no sense and the characters act like lovesick fools who underwent a lobotomy. The story shifted from politics to romance, there is no nuance and everything relies on camera work to keep the viewer engaged.
Does anyone know who the screenwriters are? So I can steer clear of any of their dramas in the future. This is the 3rd drama I watched from this director that disappointed me, so I will not watch any of his shows in the near future.

I usually can immerse myself in the world of a show without asking too many questions. But here the plot is so ridiculous, I cannot turn my brain off. Why was there a pyramid of dead bodies? How did the armour fit under the wedding robes? Why would soldiers jump through wooden panels of the houses in their own towns and destroy them instead of using the windows or doors? What happened with all the archers who were shooting at LYR? What is LYR doing in this show? Was he coerced to be in this drama?
This FL actress is just a NO! 💯 You’re telling me Zhao Liying didn’t have any female lookalikes that were…
When she reached the frozen lake, Chu Qiao has already had all her dreams and plans shattered, she had been unhappy with how things were being handled by Yan Xun for a long time, but decided to stay by his side hoping she could help him, and was mentally and emotionally drained due to all she experienced after fleeing the capital with Yan Xun.
Unfortunately, the new FL is too young and fresh-faced to convey the fatigue amd weariness her character is feeling at this point in the story.
