On The First Jasmine 29 days ago
Well, I'm on episode 2 and I'm really enjoying it. It seems like a different and refreshing story. I liked the first episodes of this drama more than Blossom of Power.

The fact that after i watched this there's no drama that is good like this. Getting bored watching other dramas…
Yes, everything in this drama was done with care, you know? The opening is beautiful, the OSTs, the budget for the effects, sets, costumes—I think it's all so incredible. This story was a great breath of fresh air for me. I miss them. I've already rewatched quite a few scenes from the drama, haha. I pressed play on "The First Jasmine" to see if it grabs me.

I just finished watching it and I simply loved this drama from episode 1 to 12. The drama is perfect; from episode 12 to 17 it gets a little boring, but after that it picks up and it's wonderful. It's been a long time since I've been so addicted to a drama. Definitely one of my favorites of the year. I highly recommend it. Great chemistry, good acting, political action scenes and romance, wonderful OSTs. Wow, I'm so happy with what I saw, I loved it so much!

I'm on episode 10 and I'm loving it! I love these dramas that don't focus on romance but end up having more romance than romance dramas, LOL. The political intrigue is interesting, and this drama is a breath of fresh air visually. We have desert, palace, people in red, forest... I'm loving everything so far.

i understand people bringing up her trauma to justify what she did, but that reasoning can only carry so much…
I know the characters have flaws and are complex, but I can't root for them to get together anymore the way this story is going. I'd prefer them separated, each going their own way; it would be less toxic in my opinion.

I'm sorry, but honestly, I don't want them to end up together because of the way she treats him. I know there are a lot of traumas and issues, but the disrespect is excessive.

I don't pay much attention to ratings; I always watch dramas with a 7.5 or higher because I know they're divisive. I pressed play and I'm really enjoying it. When I finish, I'll write a review. The production is so good, the OSTs and acting are great so far, I'm loving it.

Okay, I just finished watching the whole thing, and honestly, I really liked it. It lived up to the synopsis and context—and even exceeded my expectations. It really surprised me; it’s been a long time since I watched a dark romance like this, especially one involving a homophobic family. Also, a special shout-out to the OSTs—they are so good! The lead actors are excellent; their acting is top-notch, and their crying scenes are incredibly convincing. I’m not a huge fan of the supporting characters—like his brother and the other guy, I don't know, I just didn't care for them much—but otherwise, I really enjoyed the drama. It’s definitely one of the BLs that has left the biggest mark on me over the last two years. The story is impactful in both good and bad ways—what an emotional rollercoaster! I’m speechless; I’m genuinely impressed by the story and how they managed to adapt so much material into just 12 episodes.

My God, this is one of the most well-crafted dark romances I've ever seen in the BL genre. The story is solid, and the OSTs are great. I'm on episode 5, and wow, so much has happened already—there's their relationship, the controlling parents... I'm really eager to see how it all plays out. This drama is a total adrenaline rush; every episode leaves you deep in thought.

It's gonna get really dark and toxic in the later episodes, brace yourself! I think for a lot of people this show…
Yes, each drama has a premise, and it even fulfills what the synopsis says. Every Chinese drama follows the synopsis; if it says there will be family conflicts, it's because there will be. I think the drama is doing a good job; not every drama is cute and happy, there are various genres for everyone.

Why do people hate this drama so much? I’ve watched 3 episodes and I think it’s okay—it’s a solid drama based on its premise and synopsis.

This is one of the dramas where Dilraba looks her absolute best; she is always radiant in every show, but here they really nailed everything—from the costumes to the hairstyles. She looks like a goddess, and every single look and shot of her is flawless.

Wow, I was reluctant to watch another C-drama, but I started this one and fell in love—what a wonderful drama! =D
