Title Love beyond the Grave
I really cried during this drama. It's been a long time since I cried during a drama like this. The words, the mannerisms, the gestures, the acting in episode 40 are so moving. I simply loved it so much! I can't stop praising this drama. I wasn't expecting anything from it and I ended up really liking it. He Simu definitely makes it into my top 10 strongest characters in C-dramas; she's strong from beginning to end. And I loved that the script really cared about giving Duan Xu a youthful and rebellious personality. After all, he's a young general, and they finally gave him the personality he should have. There are many C-dramas where the guy is a young general, but the personality doesn't seem to match the character. It's great that they did that here. I'm enchanted by this C-drama. The supernatural vibe is always there, the background sounds are darker, the battle scenes are very bloody, the fight direction is impeccable, the OSTs are top-notch. Dilraba always dresses well in historical dramas, but here she's impeccable; truly, the best costumes she's ever worn are here. And what more can I say? Duan Xu is one of the best characters ever created in C-dramas. Besides being a bloodthirsty general, he's not arrogant; he has a pleasant personality. He's strong, cunning, has his own ego, and doesn't let anyone walk all over him. Even though he's weaker, he never gives up. I truly loved this character. And I thought this drama wouldn't have much romance, but it has romance from beginning to end. The story is very refreshing; it's been a long time since I've seen something different. And the villains are punished as they should be. I liked the endings; I found them satisfying. I loved watching every second of this drama. I hope more people watch it and enjoy it as much as I did.
