if not for the comments i wouldn't have spotted the age gap. its kinda interesting that in dramas with age gap…
I agree with you. it's not like ljy is in her 20's. she's 35 years old. It goblin it was ok for them , the age gap and she was teenager. their acting and chemitry was so good and convensing that i didn't see the age gap. lee jung jae is so gorgeous and they look beautiful together!
You are definitely going to be attacked for voicing out this here. 𤣠Anyway, I kinda agree with you but I hope…
If you don't like the fl i understand it can ruined the experience but If you love slice of life of think you will enjoy it. I like both ml and fl. It's very touching, deep and special.

Yeah, itās fine. to be honest? It doesn't really get to me. I think mdl is exactly the place to express different opinions. It feels like almost every hardcore fan of mrn can't accept an opinion that differs from theirs, instead of just realizing for a moment that it's okay for someone to think differently. I'm all for having a mature discussion even when we disagree, but whatever, again,Iām not letting them get to me. as for mrn, I haven't really connected with it since about the second episode. I love rom-coms with a more moving and realistic story. The only reason I gave it a chance was because of LJY, whom I loved in her previous works. and yeah, try to see later on if anything starts working for you as the series progresses. People here are already starting to say 'mrn is the romcom of 2026,' lol. I think that title belongs to We Are All Trying Here. Itās an amazing romcom (I havenāt finished it yet, but I already love it)
Fair enough, that's your opinion. I hope you find a drama that gives you all the things you feel are lacking in…
Fair point. I appreciate the comment! there are romcoms out there that have what Iām looking for and I really enjoy them. keep on enjoing from mrn : )
I can really feel the director's lack of experience. This romcom feels amateurish in so many ways. Itās clearly just a mass-market product trying to mask its flaws with formulas, glitz, and viral moments. and the chemistry between the leads? I donāt see any real chemistry there. for starters, they just don't look right together visually. their falling in love feels forced because thereās no depth or substance to it. There's no meaningful connection, everything happens way too fast. they only focus on bickering and making up, without showing anything beyond that. sure, one could argue they knew each other and fell in love in the past, but that's just not a convincing enough explanation for their love story. it falls flat. popular doesn't mean it's necessarily good. You can disagree, of course, but it's my opinion.
thank you all who commented that you enjoyed the drama despite the low rating!I dont remember the last time I…
That romcom is a high quality one, i had everything there.. (i mean... almostš) I laughed, I cried, and I was absolutely charmed by Lee Jung-jae and Lim Ji-yeon. So glad you enjoyed it! :)Actually, people think the show had low ratings, but the truth is that for a cable series airing on Mondays and Tuesdays, it was very successful! Its ratings stayed quite stable throughout its run, and it was always #1 in its time slot. Of course, compared to shows that air on Fridays and Saturdays, the numbers might look lower, but it definitely succeeded. Iād call it a 'solid success.' It was in Prime Video's Top 5 and even climbed back into the Top 10 this past April (months after it ended!). I think if it had been on Netflix, it would have been a huge hit of the high-quality kind :)"
I agree with you. Lim ji-yeon's character is unbearable. It's cartoonish, ridiculous, and forced. I'm not connecting with her acting here at all, even though I liked her in her previous works.
To each their own, of course. I thought the chemistry between them was natural and convincing and their acting…
Thatās a very interesting perspective and a unique way to look at it through the Chinese Zodiac. However, I don't feel that this 'lack of energy' applies to her overall career. In her previous roles, I found her to be a fantastic and very convincing actress. Itās specifically in My Royal Nemesis where I felt a disconnect. itās like a different version of Lim Ji yeon than the one I knew. It felt like she was pushed to the edge in this role in a way that didn't quite land for me, even though she is usually great. At the end of the day, it's like you said, you either connect with this or you don't

I really don't like her in My Royal Nemesis, and I don't like her chemistry with the ML either. Sheās cartoonish and over the top. this romcom is not a succsses because they are close in age, but rather because it keeps shoving down the viewers' throats how 'successful and good' she is (when the opposite is true). The show is just a sequence of formulas and kitsch that most of the audience somehow loves. It focuses on being viral and flashy, but in reality, thereās no substance. the humor is childish, and itās poorly written. Besides, Nice to not meet you did very well despite the criticism regarding the age gap (and some people changed their mindes about it.)and especially for a romcom on a cable channel in a challenging time slot.

There are moments that will not resonate with you the same way it does with someone else, and that's fine. I think…
I was honest about my opinion. i just love more of a realistic and sliece of life romcoms. I decided to give this romcim a chance because i liked ljy in her previous romcom ' nice to not meet you', so the difference from me was so big. liked her so much in ntnmy but on mrn it's not my cup of tea.
I am enjoying it wholly and completely, and I can understand her over exaggerations to everything. It reminds…
that's ok, it's a matter of taste. while some people see this humer good and entertaining, i found it very low and childlish. the slapping and her screaming was over the top.
The comedyās great, the acting is great, the plot is great but am just not feeling the romantic chemistry between…
I felt it even before the show started, just by looking at them, it doesn't work. LJY has a sweet face and HNJ has a sharp, edgy face. They don't blend, and I also agree about the lack of chemistry on screen.
humor eh 𤣠which five year old is laughing at this? do you hear yourself mate?
Show this to any random 5 year old or someone from your family and you'll see them laughing their heads off. Seriously, do I really need to explain what I meant?! š¤£
I guess I'm the unpopular opinion on this one but this is my first drop of 2026. Maybe it's just not my style…
Exactly, the humor didn't land for me either. it felt way too childish. Iād describe this romcom as pure junk food. actually, itās more like a candy with a "flashy" wrapper that's completely hollow inside. why those kind of romcoms are the most popular. I don't get it
their acting and chemitry was so good and convensing that i didn't see the age gap. lee jung jae is so gorgeous and they look beautiful together!
thank you for that!! ā¤ļøI am a real person! I'm just not one of those people that open account especially for mdl
