I just log in with my email. I don't see any point in opening an mdl account. Don't worry, I'm a real person :)

It's okay to disagree, but there’s no need to be rude or dismissive by calling my opinion 'nonsensical'. we clearly have different tastes in what makes a good romcom, and that's fine, there's room for all opinions here.

I think it's a low quality romcom with poor writing (not surprising considering the writers are just starting out, you can really sense the amateurism). It focuses on typical, kitschy romcom formulas, glitter, and viral moments, which sells and is what most romcom fans love , but in my opinion, it’s superficial and forced. there are high quality romcoms that move forward with a good story, depth, and high level acting. in my view, that’s definitely not the case here. Even the chemistry between the lead characters that many people liked. I didn't connect with it because, again, everything between them feels forced and overly dramatic. there’s no proper balance or emotional depth. the comedic moments are too ridiculous and childish, and the dramatic moments are just too muc( the FL cry a lot.) this might seem like a harsh opinion to people who love mrn, but this is my honest opinion.

Right? For all the negativity initially, thus others abandoning, I too am so enjoying this drama and would say…
I agree with you! 'Nice to not meet you' is amazing romcom! pp are missing it.
I saw your review about ntnmy here and i liked it very much!

Thanks I thought to be the only one to be annoyed by the aggressiveness of the two leads and the total coldness.
I'm not sure it's just the fandom. I also think this romcom focuses on selling the audience viral, formulaic, and flashy moments, and it works well on the viewers. you can really feel how hard they're trying.

I’m not sure I understood what you meant by aggressiveness , but I definitely see something forced, overly dramatic, and exaggerated in their relationship. Something about them feels unbalanced. There’s no real emotional depth between them.

He's such a grest actor! I absolutely loved him in Nice to Not Meet You. I love how he pulls off comedy so convincingly and effortlessly, stylish without being ridiculous. That’s something many actors tend to struggle with in comedy.

I totally agree with your review.
the thing is, i thought it was bad from ep 1.
i only wanted to give it a chance just because how great ljy was in her previous romcom.

In my opinion, Lim ji yeon shone alongside Lee jung jae in Nice to Not Meet You. She portrayed the nerdy yet tough Wi Jeong sin so naturally and charmingly. It didn’t feel like she was acting, it felt like she was just being herself. In My Royal Nemesis, however, her performance felt like a step down. She played a caricaturish, exaggerated, and annoying character. it was as if all her great acting skills had vanished. In my opinion, it’s a low quality series that relies on clichĆ©s instead of being a good romcom

It doesn't really get better. At this point I even think FL's previous drama about an actor and a journalist was…
exactly! the age gap wasn't an issue for me at all because their chemistry was so good and that even without the big missing part that almost every romcom have (you know what i'm talking about i just to won't to make spoliers).
the thing is that most of the romcom lovers like the cliches romcon and love to see a romance between young people. ntnmy was about a mature love. it's not the cup of tea of everybody. I prefer mature love.

I my opinion, while My royal nemasis feels forced , over the top and full of clichĆ©s, Nice to Meet You is a high quality, witty romcom with real emotional depth. the chemistry between Lim ji yeon and Lee jung jae felt so natural and charming, unlike the forced vibes in mrn. It’s definitely a case of quality over viral tropes if you ask me. Lim Ji yeon was absolutely amazing there.

8.6? Isn't it bit too much for trope drama offered nothing new?
I feel like this romcom is overrated. to me, it relies too heavily on clichĆ©s and over the top humor. i’m also struggling to connect with Lim Ji yeon’s performance in this specific role. I know is a matter of taste, but it feels more like a commercial, 'junk food' type of show than a high quality drama.

Dropped, had high hopes but alas this is bad tv show. The FL should stick to purely villain roles, comedy is not…
she did great comedy before, not here. I agree it's a bad romcom.

I guess those are the kind of rom-coms people like the most. I really don’t get it! I prefer quality, mature…
But it's your opinion and have a different opinion then yours and that's ok.

Why watch a drama with this much prejudice and why are you fixated on broadcasting channels? Why camp here when…
First of all, I decided to give this a chance because of Lim Ji-yeon. regarding the broadcasting channels, that’s just how it usually is, SBS tends to broadcast cheesy romcoms designed to go viral, which often comes at the expense of quality. In contrast, tvN broadcasts romcoms that are more high quality and original. As for the investigation into my username-do you suspect I’m not a real person? well, I have news for you- I’m a completely real human being. I just don't care about having a profile with a username and picture on MDL. I simply log in through my email. It’s that simple. Happy to help : )

if not for the comments i wouldn't have spotted the age gap. its kinda interesting that in dramas with age gap…
I feel like age gaps were more accepted in the past. Nowadays, people are much more critical and conservative😭
