I haven’t seen any slow motion here. If anything, there’s actually a lot of lovey, dovey moments, and the romance is romancing. The fox sisters are doing great too. The pacing is fast, not dragged out. It just feels like you’re getting distracted by the visuals instead of paying attention to what’s actually happening. The conversations are sharp and purposeful.

Alright, that’s enough. There’s no need to act like a hero here because no one’s even fighting over screentime. It’s mainly certain fans who keep complaining about it. They’ve been doing that since the drama started.

Roughly, it goes like this:


More than a hundred years ago, Yuan Wuhuo’s younger brother, Yuan Xizai, died. Ji Ling (the Dragon God) picked up Yuan Xizai’s doll and took on a face identical to his. After going through a series of events together, Yuan Wuhuo began to treat Ji Ling (the Dragon God) as his younger brother and protected him.


Later, Yuan Wuhuo died. However, his obsession with protecting Ji Ling (the Dragon God) was so strong that it split into two forms—one good and one evil.
The good obsession became Li Jie: even after losing his memories, the instinct deep in his bones still guides him to find Ji Ling (the Dragon God) and stay by his side to protect him.


The evil obsession became the Six-Eyed Butterfly Demon (Yuan Wuhuo), who is determined to kill Ji Ling (the Dragon God), believing that by doing so, he can free him from endless loneliness, grant him freedom, and end his suffering.

Don’t get confused, this is just very gjm-coded. his characters are well-written and full of depth, that’s what i like about his dramas, it’s not just the plot, it’s all about the layers and connections.

I mentioned this after watching ep18:

The main leads like WWY and JL each have their own methods and they’re willing to lie, scheme and even play the villain if that’s what it takes to go against Evil JY. They don’t care about how others perceive them as long as they can protect the people they love.

There is also back hug, Lying down with fox jiling, and many more. But I just said can we just focus on LWY a bit but people blow it up and started posting. Wtf

Enough arguing about screentime. Duh🙄Infact I'm the one who's against about begging for screentime and that word where used by some fans that their fave used to promote a certain actor. Lol. Like how dare y'all demanding so much and criticize this drama when your fave getting recognize because of GJM.

How many times do we have to say we’re not asking for screentime? 🙄 for the past few days, it’s mostly been wuwu fans complaining, while we’ve actually been defending jilu and staying out of the drama and we’re over it now. JJY has already been with tjr and cdl for pretty much the whole 18 episodes, so it’s not like she’s missing from the story, we’re not complaining about screentime, we’re just asking for a small moment where her character gets proper meaning. But it feels like people keep misinterpreting that as us demanding more screen time or being negative, which isn’t true. it’s literally just about wanting a bit more character depth, that’s it. But that's enough, can we just stop dragging this issue anymore? ? ?it’s getting overblown for no reason at this point

Don't say if this drama succeed because of JJY.
This is because of the productions and GJM. Can't deny. He made this drama being iconic. As for JJY, she has been given poor dramas during her Siba days so glad she was casted on this.

What we want is just character depth, that’s it. Even a short moment where she makes a choice, reacts properly, or gets some explanation would be enough. Right now it’s mostly just emotional reactions, so it starts to feel a bit flat. And JJY fans have never really been demanding about screentime, we’re just asking for better writing for her character. If anything, it’s other fans who’ve been more vocal and even trashing the drama over the past week because of their faves, and you can see that reflected in some reviews too. JJY fans have never really been the problem.

Well, let’s see, there are still 11 episodes left.

I’m not complaining. I just feel like her character needs more buildup, like she shouldn’t feel so dependent. Right now, a lot of her scenes revolve around the same emotional state, and it can start to feel a bit one-note.


What I usually mean is things like: seeing how she makes decisions, how she reacts in different situations, how she grows from what she’s experiencing or how she actually contributes to the plot instead of only reacting emotionally. Like, have you noticed how other characters get clear solo moments, WWY’s determination to cut her tail, WSG discovering his identity and progression? The difference is pretty obvious when her character doesn’t get that same kind of focus. Caring about her sister and her love is fine, that’s part of who she is..but emotional depth also comes from choices and personal growth. Without that, it can start to feel like she’s only there to react to other people’s stories rather than having her own progression. Ofc you won't see her fans complaining because they are used it and they aren't toxic🤦‍♀️Her dramas was always like this.
