Sometimes Seori’s tone and body language make her seem like a grandma. I know she’s from the past but she wasn’t an old woman. It feels more like the actress is overdoing it sometimes
People kept calling her a strong female character, so I went in with high expectations but the FL felt completely unreasonable to me. She knew what she was getting into by starting a relationship with someone barely out of his teens. She’s not as strong as people make her out to be. If she were, she would’ve raised her child on her own instead of leaving all the responsibility for her and the ML’s child to her ex, the same ex who cheated on her and said nasty things about her
ML is so annoying. He sends her to sleep with the villain to gather evidence, then gets angry and starts calling her names whenever he sees her even talking to him
Even though I usually love the toxic romances in vertical dramas, this one just wasn’t it
I mean, irl that kind of man would probably be obsessed with and have sexual relations with every woman around him. But in the drama, he was different, so ig we can call him loyal
So she really did cheat on the ML as there was no explanation. The drama played it off as comedy. If her mindset could change like that once, what’s stopping it from happening again when she's 26? ML deserves better.
I hate that we’re allowing this writer to re-popularize pseudo incest. He’s a weirdo and this show, speed…
Do you know why dating your family is considered wrong and weird? Because they’re blood related. Adoption ISN'T blood relation. Dating someone who’s only connected to you through adoption is not the same thing as actual incest no matter how much you try to frame it that way.
And afaik, adoption in many Asian countries, esp in older times, wasn’t always done through strict legal paperwork like in the West. Sometimes families simply took someone in.
Your last sentence doesn’t even make sense. Obviously they wouldn’t pair biological siblings. Guess why? Because they’re blood related. Completely different dynamics
I hope Bai Lu’s makeup looks more like her older dramas here. Idk what changed since Moonlight Mystique but her makeup has been looking kind of ghostly esp the nose area. Maybe her makeup artist changed or something
It’s funny how whenever a show isn’t well liked, some fans suddenly label it a slow burn to make it sound…
Our universe was a mess. FL only started missing ML after he left. Suddenly the house wasn’t clean anymore, the baby wasn’t fed or asleep when she got home and that made her realize his value. She treated the ML the same way some husbands treat housewives, which people don’t exactly idolize, so how were viewers supposed to root for that romance? It wasn’t just because the love triangle was dragged out.
And in this drama, ML already fell for her by episode 4. He said something to the old grandma You can’t stop feelings or something similar. It’s been weeks. This drama was too forgettable to remember the exact dialogue or details.
It's a shame that actual slow burn, subtext-filled stories like this drama and Our Universe always get tagged…
It’s funny how whenever a show isn’t well liked, some fans suddenly label it a slow burn to make it sound like only intellectual viewers can appreciate it. Meanwhile, the male lead falls in love by episode 4 and they start dating by episode 8, which is pretty standard for most Kdramas
Good but 3 hours was way too long for this story. ML falls for her like crazy after watching her from a distance for a few seconds, while the FL spends most of the second half just slowly coming around to liking him. Meanwhile, he’s already ready to give up his soul for her.
She’s not as strong as people make her out to be. If she were, she would’ve raised her child on her own instead of leaving all the responsibility for her and the ML’s child to her ex, the same ex who cheated on her and said nasty things about her
