I mean, we have so many dramas where the leads get contractually married and don’t become intimate. They could totally do that here :)

If the roles were reversed and the ML had been intimate with some green tea, knowingly or not, I wouldn’t even think about watching the drama.

But if they can make a young man with a face like that in that era a virgin, then a virgin empress wouldn’t be impossible either😭And if I were looking for realism, I wouldn’t be watching idol dramas, let’s be honest😭 It’s not about her being a non-virgin empress, it’s because she would’ve been physically involved with another guy while the ML had been a virgin even after thinking she has betrayed him.
This is just setting FL up for hatred
(And if intimacy were just a body thing and it were okay as long as she didn’t develop feelings, then every wife would have to be okay with her husband being unfaithful as long as he came home to her in the end because his heart was still with her)

I don't have a problem with her scheming nature or anything. But she was physically involved with the SML for three years, whom she chose to marry herself. Maybe that's realistic but yeah, I didn't like that part.
They’re my dream pair. But sadly, whatever novel spoilers I’ve gotten from RedNote have been turning me off😭. I hope they change the FL’s character a little and tweak some aspects of her relationship. Otherwise, she’ll be getting even more hate than ren susu from the audience for sure.

They did same in TFF but just the roles reversed, making ML perfect fantasy of women and FL was allowed to have flaws. Still people didn’t blame the FL there

I mean if you want to watch mature,funny healthy relationship, this drama was clearly not for you from the beginning. There are hundreds of dramas like that but u chose to watch a drama which was getti g called red flag drama
