I started watching this drama bc of ARP, and now I’m sticking around for the FL. She’s so clever, determined, righteous, and talented, not to mention super pretty 😍
I also love how the ML matches her smarts and is almost always ready to step back for her to shine, he’s so understanding 😌
I have this wild guess: the scriptwriter is the King. NH/NF is an idol irl, and based on episode 1, though that’s hardly enough to judge a character, his fame seems to have gone to his head. As seen, his manager does all the talking and is able to make unreasonable demands.
Maybe the scriptwriter got pissed off and, with his magical power(?), he somewhat made SYM/SXY and NH/NF transmigrate into the script world. The FL retains her memories, and there’s NH/NF, whose blind of the fact) and who, more than halfway through the series, has endured endless suffering. His constant efforts to please and earn SYM’s trust seem sus. No real person who’s been repeatedly rejected and knows the FL wants him dead, would keep trying like that, he was clearly written that way.
Meanwhile, although the FL remembers the script, she refuses to deviate from it. She could go against it but chooses not to, so her insufferable behavior feels innate (and maybe scriptwriter know this too lmao)
What made me think of this wildest guess are two things: First, King actually opposed the good-for-nothing 2nd ml proposal to falsely implicate NH’s mother. And second is when the eunuch suggested that NH should be dealt with before he resort to oust king, he replied, in non-verbatim, that his son is of no concern to him
Back to the scriptwriter. I think he wanted to teach NF a lesson. If NH and NF are the same person, then when it’s all over, both ML and FL will return to the real world with their memories intact. And maybe all those sufferings in the script world will change NF as a person (granted he’s really a jerk irl)

As a king, he is kind of sus actually. Why would a king, leave a nation to the hands of an incompetent prince (his favored son), in the first place? With this, he is already prioritizing personal interest over his people. I don’t get why the officials are so blind to this. One hint he might actually care, is when the good for nothing 2nd ml wanted to falsely implicate ml’s mom, he actually apposed? And another is when he said that. No matter what, I could never forgive him. His son suffered waayy too much since he was a young defenseless boy. Now, ml is even capable to oust him but so far, he chose not to. For whatever his own twisted reasons are, ml does not deserve to be in so much pain, mentally and physically.
