I kinda like how this drama does not prioritise the romance between two leads. It focuses more on how their careers impact their lives and other people. And I think it's great just the way it is :)
But let us just see.. maybe it will get more interesting later ^^

But if you really want to see the chemistry between LSK and AHS watch the behind the scenes. Daaaamn I was giggling the whole time xD

Btw, ep 8 got me in tears TT

It was kinda slow-paced at first, then the scenes got better. At the beginning, the main leads were really powerful but unhappy, in the middle they turned weak but happy then at the end.. just so-so.
This show had me confused, it started weak then it got interesting but the last few episodes were a bit unsatisfying. I honestly watched the last 15 episodes at 2x speed (except the last 20 min of the show) bc of too many flashbacks and unnecessary fillers and I can't just drop it . I like the loyalty between lovers in this drama, but overall it's not that great. I'm just in love with Xu Kai and Bai Lu tandem that's why I have to finish it.
I read somewhere the novel has alternate ending, and I think that one would have been better.

I kinda panicked during the last minutes of the video. I mean him? Wearing nice clothes? Going inside??! Scary T__T

First few episodes got me hooked. I love how fast-paced the story is. It doesn't cling to the same problem which sometimes lasts for few episodes before it gets resolved, which is so common in dramas T_T

I'm at episode 10, and is having second thoughts whether to continue but I just watched the trailer and I think I need to be more patient. (I rarely watch trailers bc of spoilers T^T)
Right now it's not doing it for me, but maybe later, hopefully it will.

This drama is worth it! All the characters delivered! It's a masterpiece really. There was never a dull moment for me. It's dramatic, hilarious, and real. I feel their undying patriotism towards their country. T_T
I usually don't like second lead females bc they are usually b*tchy and the like. But this one? She deserves an award! And Shen Tingban deserves to be mentioned. I like how his character never swayed. I was expecting someone as powerful as him to be somewhat corrupt but T__T and his loyalty not just towards his country but also to his girl is sooooo T__T where to find someone like him??
And Gu Yan Zhen?! I'm in love *insert heart eyes*
He's so mischievous, hot, handsome, rich, and so clingy xD Damn girl is so lucky haha.
Also Xie Xiang is a girl power! A soldier, I'm in love with her too.
Shen Jun Shan could have flexed his second lead more but it's okay. I'm too biased with Gu Yan Zhen anyway xD
I really love this, I was having second thoughts whether to watch this or not bc of the setting and the story. You know those typical girl-pretending-to-be-guy kind of stories which are too cringey and unreal, this one is not like that ok. Give this a try or you'll miss some Gu Yan Zhen moments xD

I've binge watch The King's Avatar, The Untamed and then this T___T
Now, it is really hard to find a good drama. What they have in common? Almost the nonexistent romance between leads. And I'm a fan of romance but these three proved that not all the great ones revolve around romance. Not to mention they come from different settings and time! So what should I watch next? T_T

I'm really really having a hard time watching another drama after this T_T
This really set the bar sooo high. This is one of the best dramas I've watched so far. How can I move on?

I was also hoping for some romance but there's none and I actually realized later as a good thing. It would be awkward. Overall the story is about teamwork, overcoming each other's differences and how people with different backgrounds can work together.
I think it's perfect as it is already :)

If I am going to rate this then its 11/10. Because Wei Wu Xian deserves no less T__T
I was a bit hesitant to watch this at first, but whenever I searched for top dramas of 2019 this is always on the list. Of course it should be!
For me, it's not BL, if there's a deeper word for true friendship then it is. I'm not being delusional, all their scenes together were not cringey or awkward, in the end it depends on your interpretation haha
So their relationship aside, really the storyline is amazing. The lines cut deep. The cast served a masterpiece. Especially Wei Wu Xian and Lan Zhan T__T
I still can't forget ep 20 being the most satisfying *evil laugh* and ep 30 with a bit of 50 being the most tearjerker T____T
Wei Ying is so easy going, powerful, selfless, handsome and mooree what else can you ask for?!
The world does not deserve him. Excuse me I'm still ugly crying TT____TT

This deserves 10/10 for me. It just clicked with me. The characters are great! The soundtracks are awesome. The scenes remained true to the story. The animation is just great! One of the best shows I've seen so far this 2019. Also the visuals are unreal. We all know Yangyang is already godlike but all those other hotties?! And another Yangyang?! A big plus!! Lol
I finished this series as soon as I could bc it's like a breath of fresh air for me. I've been watching too much romcoms I guess haha.
This series is worth it! :)

And ah btw, in kdramas i usually like the 2nd lead couple first but never on this one. Ji Jwa's character wasn't developed at all. She didn't change until the end, we'll maybe that's her role. I can't sympathise with her though *shrugs*
I find her ineffective.. But again maybe that's just the way Go Won Hee's character should be.

I decided not to drop this but i ended up watching the last 3 eps on fast forward mode. I honestly don't know how to rate this one. This had become predictable especially towards the end. It got boring :(
But at least it has better closure than 100 Days my Prince.
I started linking the two dramas bc they're alike in some ways..

I'll go back to dramaland starting with this. I hope this one is good :)

I got up from my looong time of sleeping on kdramas just for this one. And honestly I don't know how to rate it lol. But really, it's one of a kind, the genre is just so unusual that it makes it unique. I watched the first few episodes in low volume (I'm not a fan of horror lol if u know what i mean xD)
I'm just a bit disappointed bc Hyun Bin is pale 95% of the show :'(
Shin Hye is just being herself.
But the supporting cast is amazing. Every character is notable. Kudos to Lee Sueng Jun' s character. He's so loyal to his friends TT, i really appreciate how he didn't become greedy. And Chanyeol OMG Chanyeol lol, on ep 16 i was laughing a lot. He's famous not just in real world but also in virtual world xD
Aaannd the plot. I'm so sorry, i can't help but compare this with W :( and i like W more. Not to mention Kim Eui Sung in W is really hateable, in MOTA, he's just like what is expected of rich senior characters.
And i don't like how it ended. So many unanswered questions (though it's a bit normal for fantasy dramas these days). The bug started with Marco, but he was never seen again.
Aaannd these questions will remain unanswered and i should just move on haha.. I wrote a lot, sorry it's been a long time. ;)
