eh this is the one drama where such a plot makes sense, given that the leads are cops.
Disagree coz this story can be made well without this serial killer nonsense to present lack of proper regulations or erosion of public trust in institution or hardships of cop's life. Instead it can be better emphasized with more grounded day to day nuances of a cop in more depth.
Kdramas have shit record when it comes to this serial killer stuff. It is overdone and poorly executed and I don't see it working out better here either.

if you've watched any kdrama with romance and thriller in genre in last 10 yrs, all this serial killer plot thread here is a drab and hardly creative. its just inserted and executed in story in same lackadaisical manner which makes it feel no more than 'padding the runtime'
