for a kdrama, first 6 eps were elite. gets real repetitive and predictable for next 7 eps but ending. would be so much better overall if drama was cut to half or 2/3rd of original length. 4 leading cast members gave good performances.
Chang hee is probably one of the most impressive drama characters I've seen in a while. his dialogues/monologues/rants would just suck you in his world. props to actor for his performance and writer/director for an impressive writing/execution.
this drama is definitely an acquired taste. easy-soothing watch for some and draggy-flat for others. I felt both ways while watching this. cast was special and each character was able to standout at one point or other. it did lose some steam after time skip and some dialogues felt sort of repetitive. wanted to see more of Chang hee-Hyun ah instead of Gu- Mi jung. ending remained true to plot and there was no shock value or forced sad ending.
Does yeo jin actually have feelings for taeyoung (seung cheon)? Her reaction to him calling their relationship…
real seungchon is the only person who knows and shares the secret with her. it's understandable for her to want smth more. but anxiousness from looking over the shoulder all the time coz of spoon has twisted her.
Why are so many supernatural/ghost kdramas revolved around romance...let me enjoy supernatural without romance…
coz romance sells like dope in drama audience whose demography largely consists of older women or respective actor/actress fandom. like that line from Oldboy goes, 'The tv is both a clock and a calendar. It's your school, your home, your church, your friend and your LOVER.'
too long and too flat. complaining about anything else would be waste since most of drama's problems stems from those two issues. sismance and acting is enough to make it to the end esp if you have favouritism towards the cast. would've worked perfectly as a 1:45-2:15 hr movie.
9/10 were not bad. I went in expecting nothing. both FLs character have a bit of depth and real Taeyong is now chasing the bag. uncle-mom part in the plot has always been meh but now it's getting nonsensical. dynamic b/w Seungchon & Juhee remains flat. both people playing the roles are not good enough to mask mediocre writing there.
