it is an unusual movie. More deep and artsy in terms of theme. I honestly was not sure about it until the last few minutes. It is more arthouse. And with that 8/10
Honestly it is a good movie. The idea behind it is quite interesting. yeah there are some aspects that are less developed and make less sense but overall I really enjoyed it. 9/10
extremely intense movie. You truly see how someone goes against anything he believes in when it involves people he loves. It is very sad, the ending is quite shocking but tbh that is also something that bothered me throughout the movie. I did not truly understand why there were some tests never done. 9,5/10
I actually really enjoyed this! It is a very well acted drama and I truly enjoyed seeing Tanaka Min. I do not truly comprehend why the villain is trying to beat Ogami though. The reason at the end of ep 10 is not truly fulfilling. But overall I really did enjoy this. However one must say, this is more something for people that enjoy politics, corruption and intrigue. For anyone else this may not be the best drama. But I truly enjoyed it 8,5/10
True, YT videos can do the same. Especially the fan made videos can be quite intriguing and make you wanna watch…
hahaha yeah exactly. no I absolutely agree with you. we all have different opinions but if a good part of the community praises a drama you do (subconsciously) expect it to be good too. It just often is not the case anymore.
I agree with you on so many levels! Though for me there are also YouTube videos that put me down a rabbit hole. Like, you see an interesting scene or a fanmade video of something and think.....ohhh!!!!! this looks interesting!...but actually....it turns out to be a disappointment and those few golden moments where the peak of it. With the reviews part I also completely agree. Sometimes it truly is worth to go in blind. I often end up scratching my head with very hyped dramas, while others are criticised to no end although I find them very well done. Going in blind is truly a smart idea.
"Is it just me, or does it seem like K-Dramas, especially those tailored for a global audience, often prioritize…
OCN moved to TvN no? At least that is what I noticed.....and also kinda coincided with crime dramas being less serious after moving to TvN.... (example here is Missing: The other side s1 (OCN) and s2 (TvN))
Oh I agree with you on so many counts. Indeed one expects more of dramas after watching some but at the same time I do think dramas changed a lot too? For me it feels like korean dramas have become "Westernised" or "hollywoodized". I do not truly see much difference anymore. It may have something to do with the streaming platforms, or not. Also painfully true.....where are all the thrillers......I am a huge thriller/crime drama lover but man....I feel you....they are completely gone. There was a time where there was always at least one well developed crime thriller on air but nowadays? nada
anime is the most wholesome version and the only one with a happy ending. Funny how much less trashy the story…
true I felt the same. You could try "Silent" or "37 Seconds". Both have similaritish storylines. Or movies done by Koreeda Hirokazu. He is producing some very remarkable storylines that are also getting to ones bones. "Like Father, Like Son" is a great one there.

the animation is amazing in the anime version but I still think the Japanese version is the most realistic and raw one. It is always difficult to give an opinion what one would do if faced with the same situation. I do not truly think we can judge fairly until we are in it. And each one is different.
wow thank you a lot for this! Seriously it would never have gotten onto my radar without reading this. I really enjoyed Yukisada Isao's previous works so this will definitely be something I am going to watch!
I really liked the design of each character, and the way they portrayed them. However, compared to the Chinese adaption, chemistry-wise and also more emotionally connected it lacked a bit. The Chinese drama....you actually truly felt for each character. Nonetheless, with 4 episodes, it is a well covered short version of it. 7,5/10
