Title A Shop for Killers Spoiler
he really has to be otherwise the drama makes no sense anymore.
same! But then I was looking for clues on a faked death XD And when the short haired lady arrived and protected Ji An she mentioned he was alive, so I was like "yep totally knew it" but where is heee.......
I still do not think that he is dead coz honestly? What sort of death was that? It really did not do justice to the character plus him actually "killing" himself and therefore he knew what he was doing.

lol, while I do agree on that part, he is still far away from that age where it is considered hard to lose weight.…
Oh she did gain nearly what? 28 pounds? 30 pounds? Something like that. There are a ton of articles about it. And on YouTube you will even find an "Happy Together" episode form 2017 where she goes deeper into her struggles of gaining and losing weight for her role in weightlifting fairy.
I remember in 2017 seeing articles here being posted too about it so maybe they are somewhere in the archives findable too :)

last part in the interview isn't surprising coz dropping weight gets more and more difficult with age
lol, while I do agree on that part, he is still far away from that age where it is considered hard to lose weight.
The problem is that these bodies of actors which are constantly put under some sort of diet are not working how a normal body is. so actually the weight problem is something they will face 10 years younger or older (and actually the same interview was given by Lee Sung Kyung when she had to gain weight for Weightlifting Fairy in 2016)

I 've the impression that Jin Myung Chul is not Jin Yi Soo's dad and responsible for the accident that caused…
Kinda think it's the step mom. Since his dad had to have an affair for him to be born, since his brother is older than him.

I don't know how to feel about this drama. It is definitely very light and humorous, so for thrillers fans like me...not the best drama. But there is a formula for similarish types of drama that end with a gripping case. So with that in hindsight it may be a good one in the future. Just currently it is kinda meh.

Really well done drama recap! Thank you for taking the time even when you are busy with exams :) All the best for them!
For me, I kinda expected something different with the drama. The story was not bad per say it just didn't click with me so it ended up on my dropped list.

It's becoming increasingly evident that productions are becoming stingy when it comes to casting younger versions…
I agree with you. I don't necessarily see it as a problem but I also think it would benefit a drama more if they'd actually choose younger actors to portray the character's younger version. Plus, a lot of younger actors would get the necessary recognition and be able to gather some experience.

I know teacher/student is common in Japanese dramas (I don’t understand why at all, and also why it is more…
there are student/teacher romance stories in western shows too (eg. "pretty little liars", "the mess you leave behind", or even the new movie "Miller's Girl"), though less common.
But this is always been one of the more popularish storylines in asian works. So I don't truly see a difference there, especially considering Japanese productions. What I find more bothersome is that its often detaboorized, as in they don't truly show the negative aspects to it, and highly only the positive ones. Western productions focus more on those negative ones.

This was a really good drama. It had a wonderful story balancing humour and suspense quite well. The characters were truly gems and had a wonderful relationship with each other. The romance was also very sweet. This truly was a very likeable drama.

Is there a romance between Tse Tung and Chiang Lu?
well, they are an established couple who lives together. So kind of. But you shouldn't watch it for the romance tbh, coz you will probably get disappointed. At least I can't imagine this couple facing such a rosy future

I really did enjoy this one. Not as much as season 1 but it was still refreshing and nice. I agree with what my sub commenters said.....the new girl take a bit of getting used to. At times she is absolutely annoying but overall the actress did well

ahhhh ok ok yes I agree with you but I do think there are some thrillers where it is a little more difficult. Im speaking of thrillers like "Gold Panning", "Trinity of Shadows", "Burning Ice", "Watcher". These I consider absolute masterpieces but I do think do not get the best reception from MDL.

I agree! Apart from "Lies hidden in my garden" we didn't get any such dramas in 2023. But 2024 started quite promising…
good question. Both are quite different. I don't think you can truly compare them. From a thriller/crime perspective this one is better but from bizarre-ness and twists I think "Lies Hidden in my garden" is more in for surprises.
Acting wise both are absolutely brilliant.

Well I agree. I also love this one, Signal is my favourite, beyond evil is well appreciated.
But I also understand when people do not share that opinion because we all have different tastes and honestly are you truly cross with anyone who does not share your sentiment?
I for one am not and I do see that there is a group of people who does not like dramas like this one.
I love this drama but it does not mean I will hate anyone who does not feel the same as me.

it depends a lot what you expect.
If you are into things that are fast phased, and follow more the line of The Glory, or Taxi Driver or jus the typical big hyped names, then no. It is absolutely not like that
If you are a fan of thrillers that are slow, dark and gritty nitty? If you like dramas like Trolley, Decoy, or Trap, then Yeah definitely it is amazing.
I am a huge huge detective/thriller fan so for me this was very well done. But I absolutely get why this one will not be appealing to half of the watchers because it is speaking to a very specific group which is not representing the current majority of drama-watchers
