This is a beautiful documentary about a young boy called Simba that travels the world with his parents. It follows him from 2015 to 2020, and shows how he conquered mountains, jungles, visited north and South Pole and mastered wild rivers. Absolutely golden movie and really beautifully done. 10/10
very raw movie and actually at times quite realistic. Life happens and sometimes your soulmate is not sharing the same path with you but they may walk with you following a different one. It is a beautiful movie. And the background OST? Absolutely gorgeous ! Huge respect for Masaharu Fukuyama's guitar skills! It was sensationally beautiful ! 8/10
I think this is the first drama that I actively hated. The plot was extremely cartoonish to be in a functional…
I agree with you. I liked the beginning and I certainly found it entertaining but lol this was so messed up that it didn't even make any sense anymore. There are types of these dramas that work well but this was just one mess after another.

Shin Hye Sun is truly born for such roles. She really does brilliantly! Generally the movie is very hard to watch but has an interesting concept. Though I found the ending, or more like how the bad guys got punished, kinda illogical. I would have liked it if that was more rounded up but overall fine movie 7/10
why exactly do you think their age is problematic?
you are now just like the people in the movie. Seeing things and drawing connections that are not there. I did not write my criticism because of the gender of the kids. And if you would go through my watchlist and read my comments on every drama I watched, you would know that. I really do feel very offended and indeed it is best to cease this conversation.
why exactly do you think their age is problematic?
Now that is unfair and you interpreting something that is absolutely incorrect and I do actually feel offended by that. I would have said and written the same thing if a girl and a boy had acted in the movie. The fact that it is 2 boys has no whatsoever impact on my criticism. Please do not automatically assume that people that criticise something related to it are automatically only doing so because of lgbtq+.
why exactly do you think their age is problematic?
they are now yes but they were not when the movie was shot. And you do not need to understand me ;). I do find it very uncomfortable to watch such young children confront their own sexuality in the way the movie portrayed it (eg the scene in the old bus). if they would have just hinted at friendship fine. if they'd shot the movie 3 years later, fine. but elementary kids (and the younger one of the boys was under 10 when they shot it) is not something I find ok.
why exactly do you think their age is problematic?
I don't think child actors at such a young age (referring to elementary school age) should be confronted with these topics (sexuality) in an acting way.
a very sad and brutal movie that shows what misunderstandings can do to people. It really is heart breaking how everyone misjudges, does not think critical and just acts based on what they think they know. Furthermore, it shows how brutal being different can be even as a little child. And this is actually a point I find problematic with this movie. I do not think the director/screenwriter/producers should have gone with the age of the kids. If they want to go in that direction it would have been better to make them older. But elementary kids? Sorry but no. Another point is the ending. I would have preferred to have a somewhat more complete ending when it comes to all the storylines but we are pretty much left interpreting it however we wish. Apart from these 2 points its a really good movie, wonderfully acted and also great cinematography. 9/10
"I think recent years have been a let down in kdramaland, and I admit, it might be because of my taste. As I grow…
I have actually included Japan in this. Japan has some very good productions but overall even there I was a disappointed in recent years. So I actually moved to the dramas released 10+ years ago. They are in my opinion better developed. The one country I think did remarkable well the last few years was Taiwan. They have some absolut amazingly well done projects.

lol for me it is the complete opposite. I really miss a good and serious crime drama without the constant comedy and happy-go-lucky scenes. Something very well thought through that keeps you guessing and surprises you with unique twists and turns. But most dramas focus more on the romance story and/or a very weak developed case. But I do actually think you have a really good point there. Dramas today try to please the whole audience spectrum instead of focusing on one specific and truly doing that well.
Oh you speak to my soul. I have experienced this slump in 2023 extremely. But to be fair I kinda feel like dramas went down since a couple of years now...there are some great ones but overall with Netflix and co producing more and more dramas they shifted their storylines, from unique to mainstream more and more, where there is potential for a 2nd season. Or maybe it is a generational thing or maybe it is just me. I watched some of those you recommend and sadly I have to say I either dropped them or also felt they were not truly something with a spark. Maybe 2024 will be better :) So I am hopeful for that.
But I do actually think this was also a smart move. He established himself more in the happy-go-lucky drama world with his last couple of dramas (some exceptions are there too of. c.). Mantis does kinda sound more serious? I dunno.
Entertaining movie. Two good friends face a situation where one is dead and the other takes her revenge against the culprits. It is quite entertaining, lots of fight scenes and well done camera movement. 8/10
