I'm loving this but at the same time, I'm getting frustrated. I'm on episode 11 and the misunderstanding will clear up if they simply just talk or finished their sentences. Feels like unnecessary plot armor to extend the story. Just talk!!!
Boring, I really tried. I enjoyed the little comedy scenes but as of ep 8. there's not enough plus the story is not progressing. Too many wasteful scenes.
Damn, i've been crying for 2 days since I started watching this. Similar to when I watched Goblin and Defendant (with Ji Sung). I called off work today just so that I can continue. This is too good, so far.
Why do many KDramas portray romance between adults, 26-40 year old as if they were pre-teens and teenagers? I mean these are 30 years old characters. I'm not asking for explicit scenes but the "cuteness" and reactions over a simple peck/kiss is sometimes over-the-top.
Ok, episode 1 was cute enough to pull you in but this is horribly quickly getting boring and annoying. WHY are…
That scene in episode 2 when she tried to protect him by crying and telling him to leave was horribly done. That was one scene that needed slow-motion with less talking by she went on and on and killed a good tragic moment, Very disappointing.
Ok, episode 1 was cute enough to pull you in but this is horribly quickly getting boring and annoying. WHY are there so many unnecessary slow-motion scenes? I'm guessing its why they need 49 episodes. Slow motion scenes are suppose to be epic, impactful and special, when you do it every other scene it becomes meaningless. Seriously, I'm currently only on episode 5, for those ahead or who have completed this, is it more of the same or should I continue?
So far, I think this is worth the watch! I love the plot & the story-line! It has a tragic undertone to it bc…
I wholeheartedly disagree. Be prepare for 100 slow-motion scene each episode. I mean love melodrama when done right but this went left quickly in ep1 or 2. Im now in ep. 5 and I'm truly questioning if I should continue.'
I don't think it was ever stated in the drama. Maybe people here can provide some theories as to the reason why.
Nice try with your theory, but I belief that was "the" loophole production/writers/directors/etc. should really have fine-tune and addressed amidst the various other weak points in the story.
Also where else in the storyline did a bulgasal master disguise skills and/or change gender, but we are suppose to belief Ok Eul Tae killed Hwal wife and blind kid?
Pretty Good in the beginning then the story just plummeted. Quite disappointing.
Also, I don't know if its just the general format for Wuxia, but they always go the roundabout way in an attempt to show more characters (growth) /adventures but its often very poorly done and truly just weakens the plot.
This episode is supposed to show us the psychopathic side to Hanseok, which is why everything went down the way…
I disagree on various front. I can understand the points you made on your first paragraph but the conclusion of the episode was anticlimactic and disappointingly boring. 1 - Cha Young may not have been a cold blooded killer but she was by no means innocent or had an innocence to be protected. You may say she was just a victim of the system, excuses; she was just as corrupted and would have proudly continued but her father's death gradually sparked a change. 2 - Its was no secret how close Cha Young and Vincenzo were, hence her been his achilles heel was no surprise and horribly misused. 3 - Hanseok psychopathic side and the extent of his savagery was not achieved at all in this episode. It only flared up during his interactions with his brother. If the goal was truly to show a vicious side then invoke pain or terror on loved ones of your enemy; Cha Young was not even hurt at all until she was accidentally shot. Where is his madness? In truth, the only psychopath in this episode was Choi Myung Hee (her prison scene), and not out of loyalty but a matter of self preservation. "Let the wild dog loose while I'm relatively safe in prison" was her thinking.
Overall the conclusion was very weak, flat and a waste of an "ok" build-up. Maybe more will be revealed in the finale, but are you telling me that while the brothers were tussling Vincenzo best move was to run out the door with Cha Young? Really? Really!?!?

Considering that my personal expectation is usually that the main lead is the hero and may need time for growth - the growth was stagnated for much of the show. This I can accept, and could still enjoy the show. But more pressing is that...
The story never took flight. They spend 3 seasons, 18 episodes total, building up different characters, backstories, gods/deity's and several prophecies that was never realized or fulfilled. The beautiful productions and scenery, excellent and intriguing villain, multiple avenues and pathway the story could take. It was all for nothing and ended with a slap on the face and a " thank you for wasting your time".
I can enjoy an open ending, and drama ending as only the beginning of a story. But this was nothing, there was nothing. Just blank. Hateful.
The whole series had the POTENTIAL to be the greatest KDrama in history, and they ruined it. So so disappointing, I don't think I've watched or completed another series since then.

Her vibe in It's Okay to Not Be Okay is breath-taking
