Riceball drank the koolaid of everlasting life to safeguard/work the shop forever because he wanted to reunite…
Yingqi and Yingnan ended up together in the end, so it was actually a happy ending.

he did tell though. phillip was on the same boat as suhyeon. pavel was the one that saved suhyeon on the ship…
@zquad I was referring to the rest of the characters not the audience. We the viewers knew, but the surviving characters like HJ, the police and the prosecutor dont know exactly how SH ended up as a kill for hire. Philip did not reveal it to them.

@Asheath I totally agree with you. Yeah, he wasn't guilt free or innocent but his crimes/involvement did not deserve death. Just as you said, time in prison and/or community service is more reasonable. Plus, him staying alive gives Seul Gi male support now that SH is dead. But excellent overall.

Philip wasn't suppose to die, he needed to stay alive to tell the story of how SH became an assassin.

did ying nan and ying qi have happy ending?
It was a happy ending because Yingqi and Yingnan ended up together, in the present. And Bai Guyi(get it: "Bad Guy" lol) did not deserve her at all, Im not sure y ppl are upset about that. He essentially was the hidden villain in sheep clothing who repents at the end. F him

THE ENDING IS SO FREAKING SAD WHAT THE ACTUAL F I DONT EVEN UNDERSTAND BECAUSE ITS NOT SUBBED BUT UGHCANT BELIEVE…
Wait, Riceball never deserved her to begin with. She was in love with whoever saved her the first time but didnt know/remember what he looked like. Her fascination with him was accidental because when he saved from that demon in the forest, she thought he was the same person who saved her the first time when she was drowning.
Things happened and eventually she realized that Riceball is major a**hole, and who she truly loves is my dude Yingqi and in the end they ended up together because the both truly loved each other. So it was actually a happy ending.

I know the subs available are bad but if you stick with it, it all adds up and becomes clearer. For such a great show, I was surprised there are no proper subs.

Wait so can anybody explain in detail what happened at the end to everybody?
Riceball drank the koolaid of everlasting life to safeguard/work the shop forever because he wanted to reunite Yingqi and Yingnan in the present(60 years later). So he never died and live all through the 60 years to the present, and eventually to the future confirming that the future finally changed.

Yingqi was transported 60 years to the present in order to reunite with Yingnan because of their love/suffering. Upon arriving he prevents Yingnan from ever going into the past now that the past was already altered.

Yingnan in the past died(killed herself to prevent the destruction of the world and doomed future) hence ending/completing her future self obsession/mission with changing the past. The result is the present(60 years later) her fighting the douchebag, and almost falling into the portal leading to the past. But since Yingqi was transported to the present, he is there stop her from ever going into the past.

Why is there a guy dress in modern clothing?
To indicate time difference, remember it started with them being in the doomed future.

Although the subs were pretty poor and non existent at times, I was able to pull through and I really enjoyed this. The intro was really captivating and suck me into watching it once it starts if I wasn't on guard(normally I skip the intros). The OST wast perfect. But the story was really really well done, I applaud.

Daoist Maniac make a good Concubine? Yeah if you want a harem of dead bodies...I don't think you understand her…
I don't think she is really intent on killing NQ, she is just stern and true to her nature of being a competitive cultivator.

As a Concubine, she can have an active romance with NQ its undeniable that she caught the love bug(although she does not explicitly displays/understand because she never allowed herself to experience it before). And she'll still have the freedom to cultivate and practice Dao(she never betrays Dao). Additionally, since she seems fond of SS; she can train SS and protect/support her when/if they go back to Xiling. She has no real reason to compete fiercely with the other females (especially over romance) other than to cultivate. Hence a perfect concubine for NQ.

Honestly, of the 3 Maniacs:
The Flower Maniac is the most straight-up gorgeous, from the way she is presented, her eyes, facial beauty is ridiculous. Too bad she has poor taste.
The Book Maniac is the purest and most beautiful and adorable(although "adorable" does sound a little insulting). She is okay as NQ wife but that would displaced SS so I see her as more a concubine.
The Daoist Maniac is my favorite, she has the most allure. There is something about strong woman with hard exterior that just make them irresistible. And once you break down their shell your find they have the truest love. She'd also make a good concubine.

On another note, Seventh Senior Sister has the prettiest smile, she is always smiling. Goodness.

At first I was disappointed that Arthur Chen would not act in season 2 of this drama. Now, I think maybe it's…
You guys may have some point on his acting at times, but I find it refreshing. Although I dont normally watch alot of CDrama, but seeing new faces aside from the ones I've watched and normally see, adds a lot of freshness to this series and contributes to the allure. The main cast are mostly young and although with diverse experience, they all seem to match their respective characters perfectly. Personally I'd prefer the cast remains the same, I'm already attached, but I will continue to watch regardless of the changes.

@Lullina & @SUNNY you guys just release some major info/spoiler, dont worry, Im not mad. But r u saying based on the novel he sticks with SS and not MSS? Because thats the vibe I got at the end of translated Episode 46. Its seems encouraging when he said MSS is "just okay" implying that she is not enough, implying he likes his current state with SS better. Is this accurate?

After being tormented and disappointed from ep. 45 raw(his disregard for SS feelings), I am showing constraint by waiting for the translated episode and not watching the raw.
