Thank you for reading, i actually haven't looked into that tag. In fact, i am not sure if there are enough k-dramas…
That I am not sure. I read it somewhere that it had to do with that. If you check out the MDL Writers Idea Discussion thread I linked, you'll notice other users have pitched LB articles, but I'm not sure what the resolution was regarding that.

Well, AFAIK the reason why LGTBQ+ content is trickier is because of the site's advertising partners. So anything controversial will need to be evaluated in a case-by-case basis, I believe.
Thank you for another article filled with numbers. Looking forward to part 6.My gut reaction when I read there…
Thank you for the long response, very interesting points here.
Yes, I agree that underdogs make for better tags. However, I'd probably say I've watched more dramas with underdogs FLs than MLs. Unfortunately, not all those stories end up with the FL becoming successful, which is a shame. I do believe that most people don't tag successful MLs because they are more of the norm. Sometimes, however, we have a ML with a high position but rather than see him work, we see him pursuing the FL. So his "success" isn't that central and might contribute to why people (myself included) don't tag them.
I'm with you, I detest mean MLs or a toxic romance being portrayed as "romantic". So I tend to tag "Nice MLs" because it's an important part of whether I enjoy a drama or not, especially when it comes to romance. I would be curious to find out whether there will be a rise in the "Mean ML" tag usage after this article, though. Assuming people didn't know of the existence of the tag.
For me, my criteria to decide whether a ML is strong is if he's well-written. I think from all of the tags, this might be the most difficult to assess because we all have a different take on what makes a person "strong".
I have not used the "Abusive ML" tag. I have used the "Gaslighting" one in a few occassions. I think the tags that may keep me from watching a drama are "Weak FL" and "Toxic Relationship" (assuming that one applies to the leads, of course). But mostly I end up reading some reviews. Because reviews and comments, more than tags, will either keep me from watching a drama or push me watch it.

I agree with you in that tags are extremely subjective and your idea would definitely work with the current system.
I think the problem with redundant tags, however, would disappeared if they added a dictionary option. So that if you were to tag Intelligent Male Lead (for example), it would automatically filed that under "Smart Male Lead". That way rather than two (or more) tags meaning the exact same thing show up and add tag-clutter, you'll only get one tag.
The real problem, however, are tags that are created for the sake of creating a tag. Tags like: Loyalty (which doesn't even have an explanation), Loud and Boisterous (again, without adding an explanation), Flashback, etc. really contribute nothing. More so when whoever created them didn't even take a minute to give it a meaning so other people understand why they exist.

I feel your frustrations, i have had edits rejected without a reason or a way to make a case for the edit. Though mostly for me is in trying to take off a tag that doesn't fit.
At this point, i no longer care. With the serious amount of vague and useless tags that pop out daily, it has made me less willing to take a peek at tags. The other time i went in to check the tags for Its Okay Not to Be Okay and i was dismayed not only by the amount of tags but by their sheer redundancy.
I bet that for BL dramas, tags might be even more moderated. I have the impression articles dealing with the subject are tricky to get accepted.
Thanks for reading!Unfortunately, I wouldn't know how to fix it since all the images show up both in my desktop…
Interesting, i wonder if certain have some webpages blocked (in this case, the webpage where i host the images). It would certainly explain why some see them and others do not. I am using https://postimages.org/ to host the graphics since that's the website an editor here recommended. And I host the gifs now @ https://giphy.com/
Have you talked about BL at all in any of your articles and how that tag shows up (or doesn't) in the Romance…
Thank you for reading, i actually haven't looked into that tag. In fact, i am not sure if there are enough k-dramas tagged as such to really assess the numbers (plus i have only watched one drama dealing with that, so i wouldn't really be able to interpret the numbers).
Nice article, but some of the images do not show up on my screen so I kind of lost it in the second half. You…
Thanks for reading!
Unfortunately, I wouldn't know how to fix it since all the images show up both in my desktop & on my cellphone. Could it be caused by the fact that the page didn't load properly when you accessed it?
Hahaha meanwhile i like the family scenes and i find myself looking at my phone during the "romance scenes" lol.
Aw, don't say that about yourself (that you are boring). I think with the leads i just don't like how the romance is portrayed (too fast and too convenient). I am currently watching Do You Love Braham and, though their romance is also sweet, i am enjoying it. Same with Lie After Lie.
I thought her story would be of how hard work matters even when talent isn't great. She works hard but she has…
Exactly. I think the story is also about loving what you do. And, in that respect, Park Joon Young's story will be about falling in love with music.
However, by this point, i expected Song Ah to have improved enough to be commented on by others. The only one who has given her good feedback is ironically Jung Kyung.
So at this point i am wondering if she will succeed at all, or if we will actually see what that success looks like (meaning, i don't want the story to end with her recital as the final scene and we get to imagine whether she succeeded or not in a vague open ending).
I'm going to be so disappointed if Chae Song Ah doesn't succeed in music by the end of this drama. Though I much rather watch her succeed before the final episode, since she really needs that boost of confidence.
Hahaha meanwhile i like the family scenes and i find myself looking at my phone during the "romance scenes" lol.
Exactly, I think the family is interesting and their interactions are indeed very human. I actually like them all, even the father because he's still trying to deal with how his father disappointed him.
I also like the 2ML's family scenes, which play as seemingly perfect, but they aren't. I feel the moms' friendship is also something I want to see more of.
The only difficulty for me is the romance and the interactions between the ML and FL. I just find them very boring and I keep zoning out when they are on screen. Of course, I'm not surprised since I have always struggle with watching fluff (and that's how they come across to me).
Having said that, it never hurts to try your luck if you're interested in writing about the subject. You would only need to pitch your idea to one of the editors here: https://kisskh.at/discussions/community-tasks/29624-mdl-writers-article-ideas-discussion and they can better advice how to go about it so it can get published. :)
