Title Alice Spoiler
When analyzing the episodes, we can say that the girl from 1992, 2020 and 2010 is Tae Yi (teacher) and Tae Yi…
Regarding Ji Gyeom's Mother's murder:

I think the mysterious person standing in front of the house is actually a time-traveling Ji Gyeom. It may be he called the detective (his surrogate father) to the scene --which is why we see the detective there perhaps chasing after Seok Oh Won (the real killer).

We may have simply seen a failed attempt at saving Tae Yi.

Now, I think Seok Oh Won is actually the highest Alice authority. So I'm sure Min Hyuk is being played here by keeping Tae Yi's death from him. Once he finds out, he'll realize his son is still alive and they'll either join forces. Or he will die trying to take Alice down.

Yeah, at this point i just want it to end so I can cross it off my list and not have to sit a minute longer watching.

is this really boring? any thoughts? I have nothing to watch :/
Honestly, I've been muscling through most of this because I don't like dropping things... but I wouldn't recommend this one at all. I find it very boring. But then again, I always struggle with series that have more fluff than plot.

Thank you for reading and commenting on this article as well, @Lucyw260. I agree, oftentimes the childhood connection aspect really seems to bring nothing to the table aside from a "fated to love" type of scenario. But being "fated" seems like a lazy way to build the romance, IMHO.

Title Flower of Evil Spoiler
If I remember correctly he was diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder and in the first episodes it seems…
Yes, it's confirmed that he didn't kill anyone and he was wrongly accused of both killing someone and helping his father kill.

As far as I can interpret the information we have been given, like @Ackery mentioned, he may have been misdiagnosed. But since people assumed he was incapable of emotions, people treated him as a psychopath and thus he became a victim of his environment. What I mean is, he became emotionally stunted. However, there are key points within the story that hint at the fact that he does in deed love his family (the FL and her Child), so I do think a happy ending may be possible.

Hahaha no, but I worked in advertising so I did a few infographics before switching to 3D texturing (which is my current job). My undergrad was in communications, so I took some classes regarding how to conduct research based on quantity and based on quality studies. Then I did an MFA in art direction. So doing infographics or analysis like this is a mesh of those skills :).

Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts! Indeed, it becomes very predictable when we keep getting the same trope of "man saves women" again and again. Fortunately, there are dramas that are now taking risks and showcasing very eccentric and morally ambiguous FLs. If you haven't checked out "Into the Ring" which just finished airing this week, I highly recommend it!

As to Encounter, I haven't watched this one but it's on my PTWL. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick it up soon.

"Touch Your Heart" is a drama I enjoyed, though I've also found that there seems to be a discrepancy between how the writers treat a"Famous FL" vs a "Famous ML".

The former tends to focus on the "falling out of fame and trying to reclaim it" scenario ("Touch your Heart" is a mild example, but there's also "My Lover From another Star", "Devilish Joy" and "The Greatest Love").

Meanwhile, ML's tend to never fall out of fame and remain successful in their career, like with "Chicago Typewriter," "Doctor John" (heck, in this one he goes from being in prison to regaining his reputation during the first few episodes!), "The Greatest Love", "My Absolute Boyfriend", "I Picked Up a Star on the Road", "Oh my Ghostess", "Love in Sadness," "To All the Guys who Love Me," "Was it Love" and "Memorist" (to name a few).

I think some of the few dramas I remember where he loses his fame/prestige/job (or some of it) by the end are "Jelousy Incarnate," "Lovely Horribly," "Live," "Hyena" and "Kkondae Intern". By the way, I DON'T recommend "Lovely Horribly".

It's almost impossible to answer your questions "how is the male or female lead introduced" because there's too…
Interesting, thanks for sharing. I tried to watch IRIS two years ago and moved it to "Oh-Hold" at episode 3 and haven't had the inclination to pick it back up again. I have a very low tolerance for the "kiss & slap" or the "no means yes" scenarios and the romance was built off of that, which just didn't sit all that well with me. I can't say I remember the characters introduction very well. I do remember (correct me if I'm wrong) that the ML was introduced while he was training with his friend and they both got into trouble, didn't they?

For me, one of the best introductions happened in "Fight for my Way". I LOVED how right off the bat the ML and FL are introduced as not only equal, but also quirky and with a great bond. It's no secret that is one of my favorite dramas and one of the few I've seen more than once.

Mr. Sunshine also had some of the best character introduction (not only regarding the leads, but also many of the support characters as well).

Thank you for reading. Indeed, although i suspect that the number would be much higher had i taken the time to filter out the dramas that aren't really tagged because of lack of viewship.

Thank you for also dropping a comment here. I am glad you enjoyed it. I don't have an issue with an age gap so long as it isn't too wide. With Goblin, for instance, i struggled because many of their interactions (when she was pursuing him) happened while she was a teenager. So the image of a grown man in a suite hanging out with a girl wearing her school uniform didn't sit all that well with me.

Thank you for reading and commenting! I agree, It's "Okay Not to be Okay" is a drama that I enjoyed from start to finish and my rating of it reflects that. It managed to incorporate more than a couple of female characters who were enjoyable to watch and complex. I wished they'd focus a bit more on the sismance aspect, but I also understand that it just didn't have enough room to fully develop that (since the bromance was a more central aspect of the drama and, as such, needed more time to developed).

To each their own.

I mentioned I was open for a conversation, this however is not it. A conversation means we discuss the Drama, not attack each other.

Please also tag this as spoilers, since you have added specific things regarding the drama. That said, let's agree to disagree. Just remember that in order to keep the conversation civil, polite and constructive, you should focus on the dramas and NOT the individuals watching.

I'm sorry to hear that, though I don't share your thoughts regarding Extracurricular. Like I mentioned in my other response, not because you enjoy a fictional story does it mean you support what it's about. Of course, Extracurricular is a dark series but it never pretends it isn't. It's in the ballpark of "World of the Married" in that respect, where toxicity is cracked open and left in display but it's never treated as romance or something good. And that's a key difference.

Shows like "Born Again" on the other hand, embrace toxicity and portray it as romance. I find those shows less tolerable.

Of course, we are all entitled to our opinion and just because we disagree doesn't mean we can't have a conversation. :)

Since, I tend to watch dramas from other countries, the financial disparity is lessened. You did touch on something…
Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts. I admit that I mostly watched Korean Dramas. I tried a Thai drama and I couldn't get used to the language and it simply had a very toxic and therefore very frustrating plot, so I dropped it. However, I found "Girl From Nowhere" interesting, even if disturbing. Haven't really tried any other, tbh.

From Taiwan I've only seen "The Ghost Bride" which was okay. Chinese dramas (from my limited viewing experience) seem to have a better portrayal of the 2FL, but I haven't watched enough shows to claim that properly.

But from K-dramas, three shows that come to mind where the writers gave the FL and 2FL a chance to get past the "I like the same guy" situation are: "Oh My Ghostess" (though sicne one is a ghost, it kind of feels like a cop-out), "Mr. Sunshine" and "She was Pretty". Of course, a lot more examples come to mind where the 2FL remains as villainous and hostile towards the FL.

This is the first time I am seeing this series and after reading all the previous ones and this, all I have to…
Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts! Indeed, cohabitation usually never showcases a balance of power. I found it quite interesting when Big Issue (which introduces us to a homeless ML, who is given a second chance by a wealthy and successful FL) circumvented that dynamic by having the ML move into a house provided by the FL's company rather than have him move in with her. Of course, as the series progresses they become equal in rank as well.

While I also agree that we're still a long way before getting rid of the "Rich ML/Poor FL" trope (the Cinderella story), we are at the very least getting some successful FLs in recent dramas. So hopefully the trend continues to evolve by also providing us with more "normal/flawed" and less "fantastical/perfect" MLs.

As to the "dark mode" aspect, indeed I forgot to include the warning that this article was designed with the light mode only in mind. That's because I'm following the aesthetics I started with (last year, prior to the implementation of the dark mode) and I just do not have a lot of time in my hands to ensure it works on both modes. At least for the next article, I recommend reading it on light mode.
