Nice first episode! Love that everything is explained already and there's no explaining to do anymore, just letting the story play out. π
I wish I can get a bit more emotion from Aun and Stamp, I always feel like they're at the point where they're almost bringing the character to life but somehow is still holding on to it. Like let loose or something and just have fun with the characters. But I'm glad we're getting a full-blown series for these 2 now since Revamp.
I know this is their first series altogether so I'm giving everyone a free pass, I believe they will all be better in acting from here on out.
I said to myself not to watch this one because I've been already watching a lot of high school BL shows and at this point, I feel like if I will add a show to watch it's going to be a mature oneβbut I just can't help it π
So right off the bat we have our popular boy meets awkward silent boy which to be honest I feel like I've seen like a hundred times with JBLs already, but the chemistry between these two I feel like there's something different this time. I kinda want to know as well what's going to be their story so I guess we'll be sat all throughout this series.
Now, it's Episode 4 and I think this is where the story is about to begin for the plot since Luke's character is now introduced, I wonder what caused that first scene on Ep 1 since it looks like they got along so well on their first encounter. I hope they explain thoroughly why Great went back to that time period (there're a lot of theories out there) and how he gets back.
It's nice to see more and more characters get reincarnated here and somehow they're all connected (well so far we've seen those who became doctors).
Watching the first few minutes of Episode 9 made me realize that I was really trying so hard to like this series…
so yeah, I eventually finished Ep 9 this afternoon, picking up where I left off last night and I'm really still dropping this one.
I get that maybe in the novel that Xiao Fan's redemption arc or at the very least the point where he's respected enough as an actual human being is going through so much but fitting all that in to a 12-episode series with the same pace is just not the right thing to do π
i mean congratulations for reaching 2056 ahead of everyone else π
nahh but seriously, if you like it there's nothing wrong with that. like i said maybe this story is just "not for me". I was also at that point where I'd defend this series with everything I have but I just can't do it anymore hahaha
People want xiao fan to turn in to a boss bitch instantly. They don't care about characters' background, nature,…
i disagree, i think it's more like him learning to be independent already, there were a lot of time jumps, a lot of opportunities for his character to at least be firm whenever he says no but he eventually end up being the same person he was when the show started.
and we're already at the 9th episode, where else would his character go 3 episodes from now if the buildup is still to be established.
Watching the first few minutes of Episode 9 made me realize that I was really trying so hard to like this series with everything that I have and unfortunately, I have to let go.
I just can't with the characters, 9 episodes in and it feels like we're back to square one. Mind you, I was literally defending Xiao Fan on the earlier episodes trying to make sense in the decisions he had made up to this point.
Maybe this story is just not for me. I am still rooting for the actors though, so I will look forward to their future project. β₯οΈ
Wealthy businessmen and young actors are never really a good pairing and it's sad that as toned down as the portrayal was in this episode, this is a reality to some aspiring talents who just wanted a shot at fame.
If not for the cute scenes of Qing Lang and Chang Yang (although cut short) in this episode I would've said I feel negatively about this one. With 4 episodes left, I feel like we're already on the way to stitch up some of the storylines, just not sure how would the main cp's story going to end up.
I am so happy with the ending of this series. That's it! No spoilers coming from me. Just watch it...with the credits, the after-credits... and the after-after credits β₯οΈ
How can we make this rating higher? 8.5 for this ending, there's NO WAY that's right hahahaha
I think I would love how stupid (in a good way) this series is π I think this is a good series to end the weekend to squeeze in a few laughs right before the week starts again. I'm pretty sure somewhere along the way it will get a bit serious, like they usually do but these funny scenes are good.
I am starting to get the ick with Luqing all over again. I don't think this is a matter of "he does not know how to convey his feelings" anymore. With that said, I feel like no matter what Xiaofan does he can never really get away from everyone and I am getting frustrated and sad with his character being everyone's lap dog.
With 4 episodes left, I don't know where their romance is going to end up because all I can see is a sugar daddy and his lap dog.
OK now we're getting to the juicy parts, I am excited for the episodes this weekend. I am expecting this whole confrontation part to be messy as it can get π
Is it just me or is it the first time we see the older brother's face up close? I mean he's still a total d**k of a brother but I guess that face is cute.
Also I got uncomfortable with him eyeing Luxin like that, like are we foreshadowing something here? like what's happening?! π
Anyways, a good episode nevertheless. Just realized we're already halfway through the series already. I wonder what's the next half's going to be.

just my two cents on this.

ok calm down first, there's no need to get so worked up on a "personal opinion" π π
