Ridiculous, quirky, scandalous, nonsensical, slap-stick comedy that is so THAI that all caps are necessary. That's what makes it so freaking awesome (and unfortunately neg comments from international fans, but that's ok, move on bc not everyone likes mango salad). I love how wacky amd unapologetic it is and I love the actors who usually do drama dive into this circus (Miles and Bible I applaude you for going all in knowing many KP fans and shippers are growling). I can have the most stressful crappy day and put Jet Lag on, relax, and enjoy the ride. The outtakes and bloopers at the end are so fun as well. The friendships, fights, roasting, etc etc - I dig all of it.
Not a fan but I have to say Seungho is acting like a kid bc he basically is one, has no dating experience and/or minimal relationship experience, and has been living the life of an idol trainee vs a "normal" social life. So in context, he simply acts as you'd expect. Yes, Jinwoo needs to be in a relationship where he is valued, but he needs to value himself first by making better choices. He already mentioned he is aware of this, yet he consistently walks into the fire. I assume when he watches it on tv, it will really drive home the fact- *this* is what pursuing a beautiful red flag when it's on fire results in. Maybe the benefit of watching himself while outside the situation will be intense enough to push him from "knowing what he should do" to making better choices resulting in being appreciated and treated well. Now that the show is over, the real show that they have been waiting for begins- a much bigger dating pool etc post show recognition.

Really liked it but kept feeling like scenes were missing about 1/3 into it. One comment said to read it first. I stopped the series, read it (fast read), and am now finishing up the series. Great advice. The novel is MA, gritty, morally gray characters. The series changes some things and makes it PG. Even so, I felt like knowing the source characters and the og story made me understand the points that I had previously felt were off (something was def missing) and I actually appreciate the actors' performances more (I didn't have any issues before but now that I get who the characters are and the nuances, I feel it more). So, ty to whoever's comment got buried below. It made a huge difference to me to read it first. I wouldn't have fully appreciated the series without your advice.
Within a manipulated & chaotic world, FQL and XCY remain clear headed and don't feed into the drama. Refreshing. The show is an absolute gem (despite overly irritating meimei, her screeching is something else!!). Many levels far above the BL being mass spewed out recently. Doesn't appear to have largest budget and maybe that is exactly why it is better. Regardless, camera work, acting, production putting out are of real quality and avoiding what is ruining it's contemporaries.
A big part of Seongho's problem is that he's so attractive + idol trainee. Both of those take away from ordinary experiences that cause people to "grow up." Also some people have low EQs, regardless. Imo, his beauty could be a curse. He's like "the prize." If anyone else pulled his antics, they'd be called out and dumped. Instead people are so "flattered" to be talking with the beauty, they put up with and give red flags and insecurity. I'm sure that isn't the ideal type of person for him or someone he can grow with. Frustrating for viewers, a blessing for producers, but let's face it- 💯 dating in the real world. 😅
Ha! I think I will be haunted by the images of the aircraft. Just bizarre looking. The AI debacle was semi addressed (actually I am impressed that they responded to the uproar) but the series "which had already generated enormous anticipation thanks to its highly popular original material" has no semblance of Overdo. Not characters, character relationships, plot, NADA. [Can't imagine how upsetting it is for the author]. Setting aside the show, and just looking at the promo suggesting it was based in any way shape or form on Overdo was false advertising [we're not talking loosely adapted, straight up zilch]. Too bad they can't take a little responsibility for misleading or misrepresenting. I don't get what is so hard about giving clear info about your series.

Went to start this and an advert of Minghao flashed on the screen. For a second, my eyes decieved me and I thought I saw Zhu Yan 🥹. I'll have to wait so I can mentally clear expectations and watch it with a clean slate. Damn it, Minghao! You were so awesome as ZhuYan a few years later...still trying to move on. 😂
