A great conclusion to a great drama!
I was scared that the second half would be disappointing after the excellent first half. Fortunately that wasn't the case and the drama just got better with each episode.
Not to repeat my part 1 review but the cast is just perfect. Seoul was a good new character in the second half. I did like most characters more in this than the original but Professor was slightly better in the original, the acting was just something special. "Stockholm" :D was a character I liked more than I thought I would in this korean version. Her and Denver's character arcs and romance was super interesting and well written from start to finish.
I hoped for more action in my part 1 review and the drama delivered with a 6-episode run full of gunfights and extremely tense scenarios. I also hoped for more differences from the original and the drama delivered somewhat in that aspect too. I loved the unique twist in this with the partial Korea unification and its consequences. A huge difference is also the ending that was much better in this Korean version. A massive bonus is also that it ended where it should and had a satisfying conclusion (unlike the original that continued for multiple unnecessary seasons, ugh). The totally not Kherson, Ukraine ending scene was silly but that can be forgiven.
I'm glad I decided to watch this because it did justice to the spanish original, which in itself also has excellent writing and acting and made the korean adaptation possible. My only one small criticism (and personal issue with the drama) is:
The professor was not as great as in the original and I was slightly annoyed with the character at some points. Still liked the character and acting overall but not as much as the other characters (Berlin being my favorite in this AND the original).
--------------
A must-watch for all K-drama enjoyers! A perfect combination of action, thriller, and romance that keeps the great quality from the first second to the last. This is a great watch even having seen the original!
