Recently I had been looking for a nice action thriller since most of my recent K-dramas have been of other genres. Stumbled upon this on the Netflix front page and this movie definitely delivered on the action! We have everything: fist fights, gunfights, car chases, even a nice "western" quickdraw scene which I loved. The film also actually had a lot of action, not just a few short scenes! The last hour or so with the whole "auction house" action sequence was excellent, really had me on the edge of my seat :D
Ending could have been a bit longer, would have liked if they showed more of the consequences, but eh, the ending was fine as it is for a basic action thriller.
I liked the film a lot! Definitely worth watching.
In medical series I like to see the actual medical side of things (surgery sequences, various different traumatic injuries and doctors trying to find ways to save and treat the patient). This drama was very light on that aspect, which was a bit disappointing. Regardless, I did enjoy the drama because the characters were interesting and fun, and the drama is very feel-good and idealistic which is I always love.
Overall, a decent watch and I enjoyed watching it, but kind of bland and forgettable in the end.
I wasn't sure at first but I'm liking this more and more with each episode. Both Suzy and Kim Woo Bin did an amazing job with their characters :D Just finished ep11 and it was really freaking good.
I thought I could hold it in but I completely broke when Akito went through Haruna's last drawings. Such a great film and the ending was absolutely beautiful.
Hmmm, I actually liked this season more than the first one. Strong performances from everyone and more action.
This season just kind of felt unnecessary. Not really conclusions to anything at all, and the Chae-ok memory loss was also really annoying. Because of that, Chae-ok and Tae-sang's relationship essentially didn't progress at all during the season. They are back to the exact same point as the start of the season. I really liked Chae-ok during the season but the memory loss and her new identity now just feels very disappointing.
Overall, Gyeongseong creature was just very mediocre and forgettable to me.
Surprisingly boring for a zombie series. Too much goofing around and planning, not enough actually interesting dialogue and action. What I liked were the zombies and the little action the drama had. I also liked how the drama wasn't afraid to kill important characters. I will watch S2 (if it ever even comes out haha) but I don't have high expectations.
Finished S1. Enjoyed it but I think I would have liked it even more if the fantasy parts and the creature was left out entirely. I felt it was an unnecessary part to an already interesting story and the creature's interactions with Chae-ok and her dad were just very cheesy and tacky. For example the dramatic part with Tae-Sang and Chae-Ok at the last episode would have been much better if Chae-ok was hit with a sword and not some CGI creature.
Two episodes in. Enjoying the drama but damn it is more disturbing and disgusting than I would have thought. Absolutely not a light and easy watch haha. But then again, what can you expect from a drama based on Unit 731.
Liked the season but not as much as the previous two. The cases are the main point of the drama but I would have…
I feel like season 2 had a perfect balance of the revenge cases and overarching plot elements. The black sun is still my favorite case in the entire drama and the ending of season 2 was also super thrilling and exciting.
With season 1 on the other hand, I felt the prosecutor part and the overarching villain plotlines were too much. I wasn't a huge fan of the "prison" subplot. Still the cases were really interesting and overall the season had a very dark feeling to it, which was nice.
I appreciate season 3 focused on the core of the drama, the revenge cases. Some of them could have been better executed however and I would have liked more time outside the cases too.
Final ranking would be 2>3>1 with 2 being by far the best of them.
I'll be honest—Season 3 didn't feel quite as thrilling as the first two. The stakes felt a bit lower this time…
Completely agree with your comment. The season wasn't as exciting as the previous seasons, and some parts felt rushed. Still, I enjoy the team's shenanigans and the entire premise of the drama so much that I still want more haha.
Liked the season but not as much as the previous two.
The cases are the main point of the drama but I would have liked something outside of them too. Like the team just having fun in their free time, or expanding more on the ""romance"" of Go-eun and Do-gi, just anything please.
Some of the cases felt a bit rushed in this season too. The K-pop case was ended way too quickly and in a simple way. The final case also was very interesting but the emotional pay-off wasn't there at all. Jeon So-nee's really interesting character was just kind of forgotten. I would have liked if that case was 3 episodes long and there were more scenes of Dogi with Jeon Sonee's character.
Still, I really enjoy the team's shenanigans, and this is one of the dramas where I could watch dozens of seasons and not get bored.
Oh my goodness what an amazing drama this was. Excellent pacing, great characters and acting, actually funny comedy, nice action and mystery moments, and best of all this was a true feel-good drama which was exactly what I needed right now. The ending especially was lovely!
I thought it was a fun show until these comments 😂😂 Y'all gotta take a chill pill it's not that serious.…
I 100% agree. Yeah there's issues with the drama and the story isn't anything special but overall it's a fast paced, fun, and enterntaining watch. Below 5/10 reviews calling the drama awful seem ridiculous to me.
