Here is what I got from the Sigma, Tae Sul conversation. Park broke the brother out to keep the uploader plans from Sigma (fact). Seo Jin helped Park keep Tae Sul from Sigma's hands afterward by putting him into the time realm or whatever the thing was (not complete fact but implied).

I agree with jn21263 but if you are looking for full spoiler filled here it is. The main plot is scifi-mystery, time travel and a mysterious villain drive the plot most of the time. During the whole first half our leads are working together for reasons of their own, and have great chemistry while earning others trust and respect. There was a lot of foreshadowing at a future/past romance (funny time travel stuff and I would argue the romance tag should have been there all along because of the foreshadowing), there was nothing concrete until episode 8. Since then though we have had love confessions from both, although not to the face of the other, the ML continuously choosing to protect the girl instead of save the world, and even a kiss in the last episode. All that being said the scifi story had not been sidelined nor has the mystery plot as the villain is repeatedly using the leads relationship to manipulate the events. In short we are finally seeing romance between the leads on screen but it is not detracting from the scifi. (I hope that answered your question because I was not exactly sure what you were asking)

It's interesting to note how we possibly have our answer on why the Control Bureau fails all the time. Since Sigma is actually running the show, he does not want Han Tae Sul and Seo Hae to die only feeling scared and pressured. He needs Tae Sul for the uploader and Seo Hae for an unknown reason. One more plot hole filled. This show is nothing if not well thought out.

100% agree. I really like how they are taking the romance but it better not mess with my sci-fi thriller!

Can someone who speaks Korean answer a translation question? There are two time we get to hear a rendition of Seo-Haes diary. At the end of episode 4 in the river it reads "Don’t be surprised, what you’re looking at is FROM yourself" and the one at the end of episode 8 reads "Don’t be surprised, what you’re looking at is yourself". While I originally assume this is a translation error, and still do, can someone tell me if the words she speaks are the exact same? And then if they are the same line, which translation is correct?

Edit: I looked at the subtitles in Korean and I think they are different although the second set had some weird brackets so maybe they were the same. If someone can confirm the voice is different I would really appreciate it because there are a lot of consequences if that is not the same diary!!!!!!!

Anemone, while North Korea could not take everyone out they could still do damage. And even if North Korea did not reach the US, I don't see the US doing nothing after Seoul gets nuked. And once the US throws a nuclear weapon back everything is going to hell.
Jxsilicon9 made a good point about sending family overseas. My guess would be that anywhere in the world at that point is better. Seoul was the epicenter of the nuclear blast which means immediate death. Maybe Seo Hae does not even know how the rest of the world faired as all communication had been cut off.

I rewatched the beginning of episode 10 and I made a mistake. I assumed he was the womans father who had been neglecting her for 10 years by chasing "illegal immigrants". He is not the father but the husband. With that cleared up, maybe he was not originally part of the Bureau like I thought althugh signs like he was part of the advanced guard (it is looking like they were all Control Bureau), knows some people in the Control Bureau, he knew when the jail break would occur, and made the same joke about tracking down the family as a Control Bureau agent did. As for him being in jail, he could have faked that identity on his return as he did not seem concerned about them tracking down his family. I feel like there was some other concrete evidence for him being CB but I can't remember it right now. Thanks for challenging on that because otherwise I would still be assuming he was the father and definitely CB instead of very likely (I feel like there was another concrete reason for why I thought he was CB but I can't remember)

That is a great question we can only guess the answer to. Once we know, we will probably also know what drives Sigma

He is a former Control Bureau agent himself. A young Park joined the Control Bureau and neglected his family (we meet them at the beginning of episode 10). He was part of the advance team that went to the past (along with Agnes and Sigma) right after the uploader was invented. He knows he was going to break out because his younger self lived through his older/copied self breaking out in the previous cycle. (If that does not make sense I can try to describe it better).

True. She probably originally invented it by her own merit the first time and then cheated in all the cycles after. This is fine as long is the loop stays closed. It is the interesting thing about an infinite time loop, everything can feasibly make sense without any paradoxes because those are built into the loop. The problem only comes when someone breaks out, then everything goes wild and nothing makes sense

I agree this is definitely a romance. But then I am also 90% sure that HTS has infinitely times doomed the world by creating the uploader to bring KSH back to "life" because of his love(save the girl or save the world) which is in reality just my theory not what necessarily happened.
I am really loving the character HTS for the fact that even though he has had a lot of character development, he has stayed true to his selfish/jerk principals of putting his own agenda (which now includes KSH) before everything else.

I would argue that by most measures this is a romance. It is tastefully done and plays a big part in the plot but without overdoing it. Now if you measure it by kdrama standards...

Since they were fighting hand to hand I feel like there is no way it could be him since there was no glitch. Could he be the head guy?

Is there any way in the rules they set out for there to be a Sigma eternal self loop? I haven't thought about that one...

I was so confused this morning when it was not showing up on time, I never connected the two. Luckily I can still finish before class on Wednesdays but Thursdays I am not so lucky. While I only have one class I go to work right after :(.

I will say, if my very shady brother suddenly got a lot of cash, then told me to leave to the country. I would be running as fast as I can, assuming he got on the wrong end of a gang or mafia.
