technically (and only technically) this is not a Chinese BL , it's produced by Singaporean company. it's also…
I am Chinese. I can tell you that this drama was filmed in Mainland China, and the shooting location is Pingtan, Fujian. The production company is also a mainland Chinese company. However, relevant Chinese regulations only apply to Mainland China and mainland Chinese companies (such as WeTV, iQIYI, Youku, etc.). The producer of this drama has sold the streaming rights to platforms including Gagaoolala and GTV in Taiwan, China, so it is not under the jurisdiction of the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA).

Kind of an embarrassment to the original Addicted series. This has the feel of a mid-to-lame Thai BL, from the…
This show shares the same director as Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island. Its producers are Lin Fengsong and Chen Wen themselves, and it has nothing to do with Chai Jidan, the author of Addicted . The production budget is extremely low—no big capital backing, it’s basically a micro-budget project among low-budget works. So you can’t really expect it to be well-made.

Some of this is in dialect. Does anyone know what dialect it is?

except i think this production is using different names for copyright reasons
In Addicted, the character is Yang Meng (杨猛), and in this work, it’s Yang Meng (阳蒙)—the pronunciation is identical, but the Chinese characters are completely different.

Rest assured, everyone. This drama only seems to be suspiciously riding on the coattails of Chai Jidan’s Addicted when it comes to the two leads’ names and the show’s English title. In fact, the storyline is a complete rewrite and has no connection to Chai Jidan whatsoever. What’s more, the Chinese characters for the leads’ names only sound similar to those in Addicted—they are actually entirely different characters. Generally speaking, CJD won’t stand a chance in a lawsuit over this.

It's baffling that this show has been inexplicably labeled as a "Taiwanese drama" on MDL. That's ridiculous! Admittedly, some scenes of this drama were shot in Taiwan, and the original director is from Taiwan. However, the director was later replaced by Nong Jian, the original author, and most of the filming took place in Shanghai. Looking at the end credits, there isn't a single person from Taiwan in the current production team and staff. A method to avoid censorship has turned into an excuse to erase the contributions of mainland China. At most, it should be considered a co-production with China as the main body and Taiwan involved.

The new episode is out. I told you earlier—there’s no censorship or cuts at all; in fact, there’s a lot of exciting new content added. All those people who borrowed trouble by getting anxious in advance and talking about Chinese censorship can shut up now.

The quality of this series declined due to the obvious tightening of censorship.
Additionally, you know nothing about China's censorship system. You said that the tenth episode was censored, but the fact is that if it had been censored by China, there wouldn't even be a kiss scene. The tenth episode was only a move to reduce its popularity due to the BTS leak, and it has nothing to do with China's censorship.

It’s now confirmed, haha! But it will start airing tomorrow, one episode per day, no episodes on Sundays, with a total of 4 episodes.Additionally, you know nothing about China's censorship system. Are you kidding me? This show hasn't undergone any censorship, and there won't be any in the future. What do you mean by saying it's getting worse because censorship has tightened? Moreover, I can clearly tell you that it will resume updates soon. You gave this show a 6.0 rating but awarded 10.0 to countless extremely terrible Thai BL dramas. You're clearly a mindless fan of Thai BL dramas.
