Who else loves the Emperor ? I like his facial expressions especially when he is trying to hide how he feels……
I don't like him I bet the one cent I own that he will be the reason in upcoming episodes for the parting/suffering of Jiang Li and Duke Su aka the climax.
Ahaha, "Ancient flirting" , I'm dead 😂😂😂 love it))
Haha there's def something about ancient flirting that is top notch. When I see the leads in modern dramas flirt I get the ick, but in these chinese ancient dramas I be blushing and fan girling lmao
Chinese historical dramas are a hit or miss for me. I know from the first 15 minutes whether I'll like it or not. The ones I like I become OBSESSED and cannot stop watching until its over.
I usually prefer wuxia/xianxia with supernatural elements aka "The Untamed," but even tho this had no supernatural elements it still had this "wuxia vibe." I started watching it 3 days ago and already on ep 30.
I know that I'll be in a dilemma/depression phase once its over bc I have no real purpose when a good drama is over lol.
Long story short, I LOVED THIS, didn't know ANCIENT FLIRTING IS WHAT I NEEDED. If you know any similar dramas you think I'll like, please recommend. If they have supernatural/wuxia or identity swap elements- that would be A PLUS.
Most fictional stories depend on characters making stupid choices, lol. Tbh all of these characters so far have…
Your responses keep being irrelevant to what I originally said. I talk about butterflies, you talk about goblins. Not sure we're having the same conversation? Feel free to to start a new comment/thread to discuss your thoughts with others who feel the same, bc right now you're having a conversation of your own unrelated to both my comments/responses. I feel like I'm being gaslighted.. lmao.
Don't respond, go ahead and start your own thread. Cheers~

I get that making characters dumb and having "miscommunications" can drive the plot, but there's a limit. She's supposed to be the same person with the same energy, slang, stamina, and personality, whether she's in her old or young body. Somehow, she has stamina and is smart in her old body, but becomes dumb, weak, and slow in her young body. I can suspend my disbelief when they switch her from young body at night to old body in the daytime. But changing her personality and energy as if they're two different people is a plot error—a mistake by the writers. That's just bad writing.
Apparently, this drama was adapted from a manhwa, which was originally adapted from a novel. Novel > Manhwa > K-drama
Fans are translating both novel and manhwa, but it'll take months to get through all the chapters. I'm looking forward to the English versions being published. Most popular Asian novels/manhwas that get K-drama adaptations eventually get translated and published in the US.
This drama apparently has the highest ratings in korea than all airing dramas and breaking the rating record. Not sure if I wanna watch it tho, so many detective, civil servant and medical kdramas- to the point where I have no interest. I can understand how koreans would enjoy these themes tho..
FL's character is so DUMB, I ran out of breath saying "tab tab hae" every time she's on screen. How can she be so smart and quick-witted in the old body, but dumb as a rock with zero brain cells in the young body?? She has stamina in the older body, but it magically vanishes in the young one? Make it make sense.
When she was at the thrift store after the ML left, I knew she'd get nosy and peek at his document. But being nosy and snooping through someone else's stuff in a K-drama is one thing, getting nosy and looking at a prosecutor's private work papers in the middle of the street at night is another level of dumb. And don't get me started on the LOUD car approaching her from a DISTANCE while she just stands there like a deer in headlights.
I lost my breath watching it, her character is that stressful!
Damn yall telling me its only 16 eps and yall have been dragged since April and still gonna be dragged till July??? Hahahaha I'm laughing my ass off, good luck with that!!! xD
3. Honestly it grossed me out. The bigger issue I had was with so many people casually passing around an underage…
I agree, having a plot like that in 2024 esp after the "Burning Sun scandal" is very weird. I usually see kdramas with adult characters, for example the most recent kdrama I watched "Military Prosecutor Doberman" where it was made clear that taking videos of them and passing them in group chats is not only illegal but also immoral and revenge was initiated. Then here, a kdrama targetting younger people with minors as characters and normalizing something like this.. glad I wasn't the only one who saw how wrong that is
The people saying "Wait till the end" are the same people who will fight you if you say you dont like a drama…
I told you, you don’t know me. I’ve already finished watching it, and I won't forget the plot holes.
I don’t care about their "predestined fate." The whole thing between Gwi Joo and Da Hee is nonsensical. They wasted a good plot and superpower elements on a ridiculous "predestined fate" involving a man-child and a scammer woman. Yikes.
Stop assuming what I do or don’t understand. Just because I hate how the time travel and superpower elements were used in this plot doesn’t mean I don’t get it.
nope, not bad. but honestly, I'm still surprised to see K-dramas in 2024 with "these" themes used in a high school…
I know, I was shocked with how it started out. A minor sleeping around, a minor sleeping with a teacher etc. I doubt this was taken will in korea. I'm American and was shocked, let alone koreans lol
Something about both leads here reminds me of the leads from The Long Ballad. Hmm..
Think now Duke Su is also my fictional husband, sorry Ashile Sun xD

Stop talking to me like I'm a child. Okay, bye.
