If they do a S4, I hope they remove some of the frustrating elements that were present in this season. Every season…
These were some of the things that kept bothering me- Episode 5- The assemblywoman's teenage son dies. Idk how trauma centers operate, but from what I know from my own experience in hospitals, nurses were at fault too, not just Dr. Jung In Soo. I'm surprised that the drama only showed & mentioned the fault of his & not the nurses. Nurse Oh being unable to pick up that the kid may be feeling cold due to an underlying issue (maybe internal bleeding & he may have died from hypovolemic shock) may be fine & she did ask In Soo to check on the kid. She was busy but there were other nurses sitting at the nurse station. When CEJ saw the kid went into cardiac arrest, there were two nurses sitting at the station doing absolutely nothing?! I'm not sure what scope of practice are for nurses in SK, but I feel like it should be not that different from the US. Nurses are supposed to constantly check on their patients to see if they're breathing or alive. Not one person bothered to check on him. Also the kid was right in front of the station & not one nurse could see through the glass door that his pulse oximeter wasn't on his finger? They didn't wonder "Oh why is his vitals not showing up in the machine". No one entered his room. Idk if nurses do a full body assessment there, but here they're taught to do a full assessment. While no doctor was there, they could've done a head-to-toe assessment & felt his pulses & if they felt something was wrong, page the doctor. The vitals for him wouldn't be stable for long. They also didn't do labs. The nurse could've gotten verbal permission from the Dr & gotten his labs. CBC would've shown if there was any bleeding (The Hgb&Hct would be low) Also no one lectured Dr. Yang Ho jun to step up his game. He was scared to do an ultrasound & kept JIS with him. They told the other two newbies Dr. Lee & Dr. JDH to learn to read ultrasounds but he doesn't get a lecture at all. I know they used him as a comedic relief with his burgers & gossip & all but still.
Ep 9- Building collapse. It was a disaster where they had to follow TRIAGE protocols. The goal of triage is to save as many as you can. SWJ goes in the basement of the collapsed building like an idiot even after being warned that there could be a second collapse. It's like he has a hero syndrome. It's also my first time seeing a surgeon go down there. Of course, building collapses again & he uses his body as a shield to save his patient. It may sound toxic, but his nerves getting damaged is a consequence he had to reap. If that happened in reality or worst case scenario, he may never be able to operate again & lose that hand completely. Although they foreshadowed it & SWJ kept saying Master Kim would fix him up, but he has no consideration about his own teacher that he cares for so much. Why give him extra work when you know he has MS & his hands tremble? Protocols exist for a reason. When I took my first CPR class we were always taught to assess the environment & check for safety before administering CPR. Why? Because your safety comes first. You can't help others or save others if you're in danger yourself. It's the same reason why in flights they say when there is low oxygen put your mask on first before helping others.
Now my frustration with CEJ. First off she blindly trusted everything her dad said when he was head of trauma center which risked her patient's life. She didn't listen to SWJ telling her to use her judgment. But now when KDJ is head of center she doesn't want to listen to him. His character is a balance of Master kim & CJM I don't 100% agree with KDJ methods but he was right. There's a difference between TRAUMA & ER. Master kim is himself & no one can be him. CEJ refused to accept her mistake or apologize properly. She went & operated on the embolism patient instead, leaving trauma center with no CT surgeon. They're already understaffed. It may be boring to have no patients to work with but doesn't mean you should abandon the trauma & do what you want. What's worse is she joins the boycott group. And some of them were hesitating to work even after hearing there's a disaster. They didn't care about the colleagues they left behind with more work to do till it was mentioned. Their boycott was childish. Before resorting to that, they should've communicated properly. This is where I disagree with KDJ's methods. He should've tried explaining things better in a meeting. The staff should've also addressed their concerns about them feeling replaced with his own team.
What bothers me most is people seeing KDJ worse than CJM? The way CJM spoke to the assemblywoman when her son died was the worst way ever. He also refused to admit his wrong to CEJ. "I was right in my own way about the chest tube."
on a sidenote, I find it weird they allow sandals in the OR? It's not something frustrating but on ep 7(?) JDH was scooping blood out and it was getting on his toes...I thought ORs had rules about no sandals / open toed shoes. Most people wear clogs/crocs. Some ORs require you to wear a shoe cover/booties on top of your shoes.
I forgot to add the shooter of the military base. We heard a gunshot but Woojin was walking around unscathed. He lucked out in the drama by not getting hurt at all cause what he did was dangerous. Actually the drama showed him to be lucky multiple times. He wasn't stabbed by the NK assailant either in the beginning. The last episode with the Assemblywoman's secretary with a tree branch stuck in his chest. I find it intriguing how they were able to remove him from the car without having to use something to cut the branch in half. Maybe they pulled down the seats and dragged him out from behind??
If they do a S4, I hope they remove some of the frustrating elements that were present in this season. Every season has a villain trying to ruin Doldam Hospital in some way (In this season the assemblywoman is like an antagonist). CEJ&SWJ characters in this season was the most frustrating thing to watch. S2 was better. I'm surprised there were so many people who hated KDJ's character more than CJM's??
As a dual citizen (Canada/Mexico) I did not have to renounce my Canadian citizenship. You are allowed to be a…
Is that true? I heard of people holding dual citizenships for both countries. It's just that they have to serve military time in SK, if they don't want to do military service then they have to renounce their SK citizenship
Was hoping it was better than S1 but it feels the same or worse in some aspects. Too many plotholes & they never…
I think it'd be better to just have future MLC (S1) in same body as current MLC. No 2 different bodies but same person. Just both souls in one body like how it was for xiao tan & tan er in s1. & the two princes communicate the same way. ep 29 the two of them merge anyways soo..could've just had them in same body at start?
The amount of times xiao tan fell for a trap was stupid & annoying. Xiao tan in S1 was not smart either but she wasn't this dumb either. They just dumbed her down further this season.
And added another conflict "oh the one you love isn't me but 8th princess consort!" she repeated that multiple times which was annoying cause when you thought she finally understood after seeing some flashbacks when hostage with the orb, she still had those misunderstandings
also QXL died in this season but his wife didn't. His wife just disappeared?? She didn't even show up to mourn her daughter Pan er's death.
Randomly made their son Yu into host of Soul suppressing orb... the soul hunters disappeared for majority of the season & made no appearance till the last episode. they were there in the beginning hunting her down & never bothered to appear in dong yue to get rid of her & only appear in end to find that the son is the new host?? what were they doing all that time. Also how did they easily travel through dimensions? They easily went to xiao tan's world & dong yue.
Was hoping it was better than S1 but it feels the same or worse in some aspects. Too many plotholes & they never resolve it in S2. S2 just brings more plotholes. Time travel dramas tend to have it but this one indeed has too many. Also the FL character was already annoying in S1 but here they just made her even more annoying & dumb. The damsel in distress trope still there.
does the FL's character get any better? QXT's childish, lacks some thinking & QTE's docile / obedient attitude…
I finished but I feel it's all over the place. They introduce a Magical Spirit Land without further explanations. All of a sudden we have this brief explanation about how Xiao tan is Xiang tan. We don't know the full story of Xiang tan and what was going through her head. We only were given assumptions. We have no idea how the couple's son is doing as well in Dong yue. I started S2 but it's a different story & time warp stuff. It doesn't give you a good explanation either.
Ngl Xiao tan's character annoyed me sometimes so did Jing xin. XT's character acts and thinks like a 15 year old. It's hard to believe she's supposed to be a character in her 20's. And the damsel in distress theme makes it even more infuriating to watch. FL is the ML's weakness & constantly used as bait.
does the FL's character get any better? QXT's childish, lacks some thinking & QTE's docile / obedient attitude is boring too. But I prefer watching Xiao tan's character. This drama feels boring overall.
It started off well, but that ending wasn't the best. It's an open ending leaving you with 10 different questions.…
What happened with JSH tumor? They said bracelet brought them luck so he isn't getting worse & his condition is stable? But he still wants to live his life & explore? I find the medical POV very lacking. They said he can't have surgery but there's medications. As far as I know medications can help preventing tumor to grow further. The tumor can also shrink. Or there's also chemotherapy. None of that was discussed it felt so weird. We never see him taking his medications. Also he gets his head hit several times & that doesn't affect his condition?
How did she know the red shoelaces were his mom's? He never told her. Did she assume the way it seemed important to him?
What was the verdict for SJB's case? With Gi Osung dead, how will he prove that GO instigated him to murder Wonseok? What happened to the rapist Sa Jung gyeong? Did they put him on probation or do something about him? So what's with Ajung? How did she end up graduating? I thought earlier she said she probably would have to drop out of school cause of the baby? Her bf is actually willing to take responsibility is kinda shocking.
Why did SJB have red shoelaces to imitate JSH? cause that's what confused wonseok's bf sejin. Also is SJB also gay? Why did they mislead us cause GO said from Wonseok to JSH it made it seem like GO suspected SJB started to like JSH???
I'm just glad FL wasn't that annoying. It was stupid of her to confront JSH with a gun. I was so pissed she made that assumption about JSH without confirming it but at least they moved on & didn't have any further misunderstandings. Her confronting SJB was also dangerous.
It started off well, but that ending wasn't the best. It's an open ending leaving you with 10 different questions. But I still enjoyed it overall. Also the OST is beautiful especially blue by Hoody
I am one of Allens fan . I like romance that are clingy but I watch most of his films for I like it when he act…
Yes agree with you. Not every romance genre needs kissing as a form of intimacy. A favorite drama that I loved was Mr. Sunshine (k-drama). They had an age gap as well, but they expressed romance very well imo without any kissing. Hugging was enough. I'm in my late 20's with this opinion, people may think I'm conservative but it's just a belief I have that love can be expressed in all forms, not just kissing. Glad that actors like Allen can act in dramas without being forced to kiss. However, the first drama I watched of him was Blue whisper & he kissed there. Seems to me a lot of people complained & he was forced to do kissing scenes?
Luo Luo's character keeps getting annoying the more I watch. The constant lying & misunderstanding is annoying…
- I don't understand why JYH doesn't just tell CY the truth. He made it clear he still likes her but she's still pretending to not be honest so he can move on. He won't move on regardless. It's just better to be honest & say what you really wanna say with no regrets. The outcome won't change. He's still gonna suffer wanting an explanation even when you die. It's so stupid that they're both stubborn! (Edit- well she revived and explained herself. But funny how they need to clear stuff after they die.) I might get hate for it but I wasn't a fan of seeing Dilraba's acting in the beginning 8 episodes where she's sick and dying. It was weird for some reason.
- Hilarious that the kid king is wiser than most of these adults & couples. It's like 80% of this drama is frustration then it gets better.
- XSY & LS getting ganoderma mushroom was useless. They never get to use it on anyone.
- Why does every xianxia/wuxia drama have the same themes? Somebody gotta die or will die soon , be a hero, save the world & sacrifice themselves. Then we gotta get a last minute reunion. This one had a lot more dying than other dramas. People died so many times & LS & JYH gone like twice? I guess at least in this drama they prepare you beforehand with their deaths.
- Guo xiao ting did a great job of portraying opposite dual roles. It's my first time watching RJL and I gotta check out more of his dramas.
- scene in last episode where CY slaps Shunde's face with a tail (made my day. I was so frustrated with how long she was dragged out to live.) I'd probably rate it higher if the story was a little cleaner & that they didn't recycle the same themes over again. I'd tolerate it once where they die & resurrect, but it happened more than once. and it seemed like the writer wanted to do it to every couple but then a last minute "just kidding" on Luo Luo. LL&KM were my least favorite couple too, but glad they got a happy ending & took them 300 yrs to get a baby. I read the post explaining the ending & I wish they showed that. It was confusing how she suddenly popped up with a fish tail & no explanation. So that post helped.
Luo Luo's character keeps getting annoying the more I watch. The constant lying & misunderstanding is annoying too. Also who wrote this synopsis it's almost like a spoiler cause it doesn't happen till like after 8 episodes. The story is a mess at times.
It's a nice drama. Not enough horror for me, but I still loved it! I guess the reason why they didn't show more development between them both is cause he wouldn't be a psychic anymore?? Cause they said if he had a relationship his yin & yang would be imbalanced or something
I remember putting this off while it was airing. Started watching (like 6 eps) and I don't understand the hype…
Part of it is cause I've gone through something similar and know people who've done the same as me. The wife already had a suspicion her husband is cheating, but she would still doubt herself. When she saw his phone, I understand she was still shocked even though she had a feeling he's cheating. She should've accessed his secret phone again before he got rid of it. Send all those pictures to herself, delete the message from his phone so he wouldn't know she sent the pics to herself& she would've had plenty of proof of his cheating. I get it she didn't think of divorce then, but I feel like it's something most people do? On top of that, her son's behavior pisses me off. I get it, he's in middle school. But the mom should've talked it out with him in a normal way. It was very clear he already saw everything cause his behavior changed. Yet, this boy still expects him mother to stay with his dad. She should've taken her son and went in counseling or something so they could've explain things better to him cause her way of explaining would be too emotional. She should've gotten therapy too. I'll be honest when I was in elementary school, I also thought of parents being together. As I grew up, I realized why some people get divorced & how that's a good choice. The boy in the drama needs someone to explain that his father kissing another woman is wrong & why it's wrong. I have a bad feeling already of what he'll do. Hopefully he doesn't turn out like his father as he grows up where he thinks he loves two women & having an extramarital affair is okay. I also don't like how the FL handled things with her patient. She should've turned Min hyun seo's bf to jail before hiring her or made sure min hyun seo doesn't work at that bar. Cause of course he's gonna know where to find her. Also her lawyer clearly told her what's legal evidence & what's illegal. Why didn't she consult him further before hiring her patient as a tail? Another issue I had is it seems that she was also in a situation where her father cheated her mom. Shouldn't be that enough reason not to just hand over everything to your spouse? Trust is important. But trusting him with everything?? He was living off her, she gave him POA for everything. He took out so many loans & set their house as collateral. One of the right things she did was showing up uninvited to her husband's mistress house & exposed the affair. Anyways, I just don't like how dramatic they're making it to be. Things could've end faster. I was hoping for a brutal revenge. Seems like JSW has her flaws too. So far she has this habit of micromanaging people which could piss everyone off. She's too controlling especially around her son's life. She should let her son witness how horrible the dad is & how less the dad cares for him
I remember putting this off while it was airing. Started watching (like 6 eps) and I don't understand the hype around this drama back then. It's not my cup of tea.
After finishing this, I have a lot to say. LYX & BL are both my favorites but I still have issues with how this drama was shown. Instead of chopping this into 40 episodes, I don't understand why they couldn't just make this into two seasons? They spent a lot of money in production and wonderful CGI, but they cut a lot of stuff out that I wouldn't mind watching. Or instead they could've just cut out the stuff that was too agonizing to watch. (like Bitchang! I realized after this drama I wasn't the only one thinking that they should've named her to that.)
- I'm surprised these mortals could live for like 500 years? I thought they had a life span shorter than that. What's lifespan of these immortals then? Cause demons like si ying, jing mie, di mian lived for like 10,000 yrs.
- I'm glad they showed YQY in the last episode cause I was wondering about him. We knew he took over as the king & I had a feeling he wouldn't die old cause he has PR's demon heart? So he's like partial demon. But I kinda wish we saw a little reunion between him, NBY, TTJ & LSS. They gave him a love story, but took it away too. Why does YBC get to reunite with XL as MN & GJW, but not YQY & PR?? I wish PR was shown to reincarnate so we could see more of her and YQY & her bond with LSS. I was always curious about who PR's parents were cause she mentioned it once, but it's not an important detail. Thought if her parents were still there, then they could've helped the main leads out somehow?? if they knew their daughter was friends with them. At least they somewhat explained why YBC had a demonic part to her. I thought it was due to PR's love threads but it was cause she was in a tribulation too?
- At some point, the misunderstandings were frustrating. Although I pitied TTJ, I understood LSS actions. She saw her loved ones & everyone dying so of course she had issues with trusting TTJ in the start. Not to mention, TTJ's actions in the start were questionable (attacking/killing people with crows, insects, & mice) which I found hilarious. The crows would send me laughing. If I see a crow irl I'll probably end up thinking of TTJ. But I was hoping they'd learn something from seeing MY's dream. I thought they'd learn from MY & SJ's love story. Learn how to COMMUNICATE! stop hiding stuff from each other & make your own assumptions. Do a proper investigation. But no! They didn't learn anything. I'm glad though LSS learned that AFTER she came to the present where he was CJM. She learned to trust him. None of that frustrating stuff. Instead as usual the rest of the world(sects) misunderstand him except for a few (like the masters Qu & Zhaoyao).
- I know they lived the lives of people in MY's dream & that's why the characters were initially confused too. But that confusion was dragged out cause they'd have those dream flashbacks (LSS& TTJ). Like even in the end when LSS & TTJ made out before their 3rd wedding?? they went to flashback of SJ taking MY's virginity. What was the point of all that?
- The characters didn't utilize the dream well. No lessons learned it feels like. When YBC showed her true colors, they still trusted her. Except TTJ who warned YQW to keep an eye on her but she was so fixated on saving XL that YBC put poison in the porridge. LSS also needed a second reminder from Jize about how to remove TTJ evil bone(Jize ended up showing the flashback where MY tried to use his divine essence to save SJ).
- I don't know why TTJ wouldn't warn LSS earlier about her birth father DM. Maybe worried about her not trusting him or thinking he changed? But regardless he seemed cautious of him so he should've told LSS about what he saw in MY's dream. A man who attacks his wife & leaves her is not trustworthy. You think he'd be a good father & would've let go of his greed?
- Why don't the Chixiao sect use that truth artifact on TTJ? Is it ineffective on him cause he's partially demonic? They used it on LSS & it showed her past & the truth. They could've just used that on him to uncover the truth instead of falsely accusing him?
- I don't like how they went with GJW's character. I liked XL in mortal realm better. We don't even know what happens to him in the end. Does he get a happy ever after with MN or he's a sect leader still?
- So was Lianhua (disciple of Jize that he pushed off the stairs) Pang Yizhi/Buxu? I'm assuming that's the case cause of the ending where Yizhi mentions Jize's name. Also could explain why Xiaoyao sect would have Jize's time array too. TTJ never learned that Yue Ya in Hengyang sect was LA's daughter? Like intentionally left it out. NBY also didn't know her identity. Wouldn't it be good for NBY to know at least?
- In the start, how come the Demon TTJ 2.0 didn't recognize LSS as YXW? Why didn't even he stop LSS from time traveling to past? He had that time. He was just staring at her.
- What was the story behind TTML (TTJ's evil brother) he said TTJ's mom killed his mom cause she tried to protect the king.. what exactly happened? The king said it was an accident or something. I wish there were more details.
- Even though there was a lot of choppy editing, I'd say they did a good job of wrapping most things up & explaining things. Except for the ending.
Overall, I think it's good. Full of angst, love-hate, jealousy, misunderstandings + frustration.
My favorite part of this show was like the beginning half. Up till the marriage happened & I knew LSS would attempt to kill him with those spikes cause of a misunderstanding! LYX & BL did a great job especially LYX. I ended up liking his evil portrayal of the demon too (the makeup too, nice contacts, the eyebrows & nice eyeliner). The roles he had in this drama suit him so well.
I guess another reason why I had to nitpick some things is cause it just feels like a repetition of the same themes over and over again. I said this earlier this drama feels like a combo of TMOPB, AOL, & LBFAD. They have similarities. Though there are some things in this drama that the others didn't have, I was hoping it wouldn't repeat the same type of things over again.
A lot more similarities than lightning strikes - TMOPB ML is a dragon & gets injured & the FL cares for the dragon form Here Mingye was a dragon & Sang jiu cared for him in his dragon form - FL is SuSu here & in there BQ was susu as a mortal. - Susu in TMOPB was also blind eventually & in TTEOM ML was blind in one eye & in the 10,000 years ago as Mingye was blind temporarily & susu losing her vision too cause of world jade - Both dramas have a crazy female who's jealous & how the the FL gotta get her revenge in the most satisfying way - Misunderstandings between the couple
Episode 5- The assemblywoman's teenage son dies.

Also who wrote this synopsis it's almost like a spoiler cause it doesn't happen till like after 8 episodes.
The story is a mess at times.
I guess the reason why they didn't show more development between them both is cause he wouldn't be a psychic anymore?? Cause they said if he had a relationship his yin & yang would be imbalanced or something
She should let her son witness how horrible the dad is & how less the dad cares for him
- I'm surprised these mortals could live for like 500 years?
- TMOPB ML is a dragon & gets injured & the FL cares for the dragon form
Here Mingye was a dragon & Sang jiu cared for him in his dragon form
- FL is SuSu here & in there BQ was susu as a mortal.
- Susu in TMOPB was also blind eventually & in TTEOM ML was blind in one eye & in the 10,000 years ago as Mingye was blind temporarily & susu losing her vision too cause of world jade
- Both dramas have a crazy female who's jealous & how the the FL gotta get her revenge in the most satisfying way
- Misunderstandings between the couple
