On Time and Him Are Just Right Mar 10, 2023
the main leads were good, I was surprised considering how they might be considered rookies.
(they're both good looking, but their acting was good too)
Writing did have some inconsistencies, but it was fine.
I like how misunderstandings weren't dragged out long. It's a light drama. It does have a lot of clichés, but it's expected. I enjoyed the highschool part more surprisingly. I thought I'm too old watching highschool dramas & teenagers, but it was fine to watch. They acted like typical teenagers. They did focus more on the highschool story too. Them going to college & growing up wasn't bad either.

Person Lu Yu Xiao
I must be the only one who thinks that in the beginning, sometimes she resembles kai from exo at some angles (especially when she smiles) in the time and him are just right drama & then moon ga young when she grows "older" in the drama

This drama uses the typical c-drama plot where a breakup is necessary. I'm probably the minority, but I don't…
For the divorce, this is why it makes sense.
Qin shi fearing that marriages will fail & love may not last forever. She asked her oldest brother about how he felt regarding his wife. She's seen how in her second brother's marriage for 10 years, he cheated on his wife several times. Her father remarried 3 times. That kind of environment I've seen something similar to it. There's at least one child that fears love & marriage. They think they love someone, but can't admit it. Her relationship with Jun Hui is another example. Jun hui never talked about it with his mom
Yang Hua divorced her to give her time to figure out her feelings & face her insecurities.
There's lots of couples who decide they should separate for it (not a complete breakup) & give each other space. It's similar to that.
Now why it doesn't make sense.
It can be resolved with better communication.
Also Yang Hua made it clear to her several times that he likes her & what he told her parents meant he was waiting for her. So I don't understand why she thought he left her for Yao Yao. Nor did she try calling him when in the airport. Maybe he wouldn't pick up.
He messed up by not answering her question once (her or yaoyao)& she responded back to him the same way too (him or jun hui).I also don't understand why he never approached her when he heard qin shi tell yaoyao that he is her man. That should've been good enough. But perhaps he wanted to give her more time??? Maybe he thought she liked him cause they were living together & things would change if they didn't live together??
Honestly, it needed better writing. But I wasn't so mad about this divorce. It was okay. I just wanted their reunion longer.
On She and Her Perfect Husband Feb 21, 2023
This drama uses the typical c-drama plot where a breakup is necessary. I'm probably the minority, but I don't think their breakup was a huge deal in this drama. It's 50-50. I can see why they had a breakup but at the same time it could've been avoided as well. They just needed to make it more convincing with better writing. And that ending was definitely rushed. I would prefer seeing less of the 2nd brother qin wen yu & mei mei relationship. It was annoying. I don't understand their intention of showing those two. They were not funny at all. It is reality in a way. There are multiple people out there who continue to stay with their partners no matter how toxic the relationship becomes. Some forms of Stockholm Syndrome too. But as a viewer, I just wished I saw less of them. There may be people who change but I feel that people like Qin Wen yu are hard to change. Even after being fathers, they end up cheating regardless. It's an unhealthy environment. I also don't like how they made it seem like he's stupid & doesn't know all the people approaching him are for money. It felt like they were justifying his behavior in a way. Unless he has some sort of disorder or cognitive impairment, he should be able to understand that CHEATING under no circumstances is justified.
They somewhat showed he learned from meimei leaving, but you never know how long he's going to stay like that.
For Wu fei, she was annoying indeed. But I've seen worse characters in other cdramas, so she didn't bother me as much. It's also the fact that our main leads didn't fall victim to the traps of others that much that made it less frustrating. Ending was rushed for her & jun hui. Made no sense how she suddenly decided to have a change of heart. She got too tired of being jealous?

Few of your points, from MY understanding is..... Lianshen is the poison lady's name in Youtube subs... in Viki…
Yeah I noticed viki does have weird names cause of translations but it still wasn't clear who those people were.
They were shown in flashbacks & mentioned & we had no idea who they were till later on.

The monk stuff makes sense.

In episode 11 I think I got confused but it was a scene where it looked like she used one of the skills the Madam Duan used & the Madam Duan also said something about how both wilted & snow form are good together?

yep, she did a great job. The main leads were great in this drama.

I liked how most of them had a story & how most of them had their flaws. Eunhui is rich & a lot of people like…
I'm well aware of all those points. I wasn't asking him to force her to seek treatment either. It's just one of the episodes he mentions to her to get treatment. I just wanted to know his perspective & realization (as you theorized, he probably didn't understand it). Depression has many phases/forms. He was aware of her depression before. Maybe he had (or had not) seen her in a depressed state which was different to how she was shown after having the son which came as a shock to him. It's just sad that he never thought of researching it or it wasn't a concern to him when he was in a relationship with her. Cause if he did, he would've known that even if she felt temporarily better in between, it could potentially relapse. That way he should've been a better support system to her & encourage her to get therapy (not force). As for treatment, if someone's suicidal or violent, then they do try to force you into treatment & idk about SK but you can be involuntarily admitted.
Postpartum depression is a possibility especially since she had a history of depression before giving birth. I don't know if she had it shortly after giving birth (or later on). But if it was shortly, it could've been detected if they have those checkups in SK after having a baby.

I liked how most of them had a story & how most of them had their flaws.
Eunhui is rich & a lot of people like her. She cares a lot about the people close to her. But she also has her shortcomings. At times, she was so nosy & didn't think about what she said to others. Then her issue with Miran as well. She made an assumption & didn't clear it up like Miran said. Even after hearing from her that Myeongbo is getting domestically abused she didn't confirm with him & realized after she heard from others that Myeongbo left his wife.

Ms. Kang was this quiet old woman whose perspective we find at the end. The closure they gave her & Dongseok was heartwarming. I didn't agree with her decision, but you could tell she felt sorry how she treated her son in the end. I understand why she thought that way, but she went a bit too far to neglect her own son like that. There's some mothers who become prostitutes to feed their children today in some parts of the world. It's sad that they are forced to think that it's the only option for them.

As for Seonah's story, I'm glad they covered a bit about depression. The one thing that bothers me is how in her story she said her husband knew she had depression before their marriage. Makes me wonder why he never thought of her seeking treatment before having Yeol? At that time he would only need to worry about work & her. Of course he'd be overwhelmed & think of divorce when they have a son to worry about as well. Having depression myself, it's not curable with just taking antidepressants. It takes awhile before getting better & you have to learn how to fight with it on your own.

Overall, I enjoyed Ms. Hyeon & Eungi story (this girl was so adorable & acted so well), Youngjoo & Hyun & their parent's story, Youngok's & Younghee's story, & Seonah's story.
It's unique & weird how this drama is in like segments. We only see hansu in beginning & then he disappears and we see him for a few minutes in the last episode.

Were those accusations true? I saw that he had a lot of allegations of being misogynist and racist. He was rude to his fans or something. If that's true, then yeah won't be surprised if he doesn't debut

unfortunately there's no cinemas near me that are airing it.
So I have to wait till it's released online. I doubt netflix will have it..

It's definitely sad because I can see why So yool ended up that way. Everyone shared the blame, it wasn't one person. The guy should've properly ended things with So yool before kissing Yeon Hee. Yeon Hee should've also pushed him back. The fact that before dying she didn't think she didn't do anything wrong was upsetting too. You knew he was your best friend's boyfriend and you weren't hesitant at all. You should've waited till they properly ended things before getting involved in a relationship with him. As for So yool, she definitely went too far. She should've confronted them and cut them out of her life. But her revenge was too far. She could've always recovered from heart break and be a better singer & make them regret in several other ways.

I decided to watch this because of all the positive comments/reviews, but I've been forcing myself to watch till episode 6, hoping it gets better. It doesn't have anything to make me keep watching. It feels boring. It's not my first time watching historical dramas. But this one isn't for me.

I liked it overall. It's a decent thriller.
Does the writing have some flaws? Yes. But, I was still able to enjoy the drama overall.
Jamie's character was a bit disappointing for me. Some things were unclear.
In my opinion, this drama was better than some thrillers I've watched.
Some dramas have characters that use no common sense & it becomes frustrating to watch to the point that you gotta skip through or watch 2x speed. I'm glad I didn't have to do that for this drama.

It's okay. I rated it 8/10. Initially the FL's character bothered me, but I guess since she's 20, she's still immature. There was some growth in her character. Also, I know the seniors were used to show how the newer generation is doing better & how they were used for the junior's growth...but it was weird not seeing proper closure given to the seniors. After that festival, they all disappeared. We didn't see Hyuk, Joochan, Seonyoo afterwards. We only know Seonyoo left to go abroad. But those characters just disappeared? I don't know if I missed anything. Prof Bang disappeared too. I understand they aren't the main focus, but I feel like something better should've been done. Also the CEO Jo Hansol was not a surprise. It was predictable. The moment they showed his face, I knew right away he is suspicious. I was just waiting till the characters found out at that point.
It's a good drama to watch how a group friends come together and we see the mistakes they make since they're rookies. We also see how they endure hardships and grow up together.
I'll admit some of the mistakes they made was a bit frustrating to watch. But not too frustrating. A lot of reckless behaviors too. I feel like certain situations could've been avoided too.
I'm not going to nitpick every little detail about it.

1.) That scene where they tried to lure all the zombies to the frozen lake. That was kinda stupid imo? I thought…
Thank you, I appreciate your long answer.
1- I never said the gun was for melting the ice, but I said it was for cracking.
But yes, it makes sense they wanted everyone there to put pressure on the ice. I just felt that even with all that pressure, it took them a lot of time to still make cracks on the ice and then eventually break it by trying to smash it. I don't remember in details, but even with all the zombies there it didn't crack right away. But I understand where you're coming from.

4- Yes, he didn't know. But I felt like they could've come up with an alternative to save his wife from being held hostage. But, that would require a lot of effort since they're busy dealing with other politics & issues.

5- That's one thing I didn't quite understand myself. His uncle didn't turn into a zombie after being bit by one. He was just going towards death. But it seems like they won't turn into zombies or die as long as they're under water? So it's a cure for both?

Some of y’all are so annoying. Firstly, I wanna say Naksu has lived her entire life as an assassin. She has…
Thank you. I had the same thoughts as well. I saw a lot of mixed opinions & hate towards S2 just cause of GYJ being the FL or how the FL's character turned out to be in S2.
I'll admit I'm into strong FL characters myself, but I don't mind the type of FL character portrayed for AOS S2. I liked what they did to Naksu's character actually. Yes she was badass, and it may be nice seeing a FL kick ass but what people forgot Naksu was the identity of an assassin. She was used by Jin Mu & killed a lot of people & even stabbed the man she loved. It would make sense for her to want to let go of that identity because it was related to her vengeance. Plus, Naksu's reputation would never be cleared in the eyes of the people so the ending was the best for her. Yes, one thing maybe they could've done for those people with a strong FL is where Cho Yeong in the end states that she would be willing to train her mage powers to Chisu level again to help people. Completely different than being an assassin. But she's using her divine powers of Buyeon to help people & that seems to bother people.

I read some reviews about her being turned into a weak FL & damsel in distress. I partially agree with damsel distress but she's not weak or dumb. Her character was written nicely & I wasn't frustrated with her at all. When she was trying to get the jade back, she didn't blindly follow the guy into the trap leading to Jin mu. She used her ability to see energy to follow the correct person (So yi). She also didn't inhale the powder that was meant to knock her unconscious & used her brain to jump in water to avoid it. Seo Yul did help her so yes it's partially damsel in distress.
Also I felt GYJ fits this type of character & romance plot. No offense to JSM, she was great in S1.

It was fine for like 11 episodes, then it got boring. It's not interesting at that point & I don't feeling like watching it. I even put this on hold & came back but nope, doesn't work out. I like the ML & SML characters, but I don't know why they made the female characters like that. Instead of their mid to late twenties, they act like teenagers especially Ma Yi Yi. Then we have manipulative parents (FL's mom). It's just too frustrating for me to watch.
So, for now I'm thinking to skip to last episode & drop the rest of the drama..
