Aw no. Jin Guangyao isn't really mean..
After watching The Untamed several more times, I think that he is unpar with Nie Huasang as my favorite.

LOL! He was so tragic. He was played by director Nie Huasang/Ji Li.

You know, I haven’t even watched Untamed yet but I’m following him for his evil dimples.
You definitely should watch him in The Untamed. He auditioned for Lan Sizhui's role, but got a better role. At least watch the spinoff "The Fatal Journey." He is a guest in that one, but you can get a sense of his acting skills.

she end up with Aarif Rahman
Hopefully, Yubin is not a third wheel in to Zoey Meng in this drama. Else, it will be like incest because they played brother and sister in The Untamed.

the producer Fang Fang was also the producer for The Untamed he picked the same actors for this drama.
Wonder why he did not also include Yubin's friend Zhen Fangxing (A Yuan/Lan Sizhui) from The Untamed. These 2 did the spinoff The Living Dead.

lol this is pretty much the untamed reunion...not complaining tho ;)
Hopefully, Zoey Meng and Yubin are not playing siblings again like in The Untamed. Zoey did have chemistry with Marius Wang from the same show. Hopefully, we see more of that chemistry.

Love the Nie bros bond. This was a good movie. When they were kids, so cute. It was nice to see their backstory.…
His world crashed when his brother died. His cunning self came out.

The relationship between the brothers is wow. I love how they showed their love for each other. I was just expecting…
I feel the same way. I really think that they need another spinoff to explain.

wait XD how does one rush the ending of a 50 ep drama? hahaha
I totally agree with you. The actress who played Jiheng bought the rights to the book. She wanted to be the main lead. So fans went against it. In order for her to hand over the rights to the book, she had to have a bigger role. IMHO, they tried to be politically correct. Also, there is a rumor of another Eternal Love series base on Zhe Yan and Bai Zhen. These 2 are supposed to have had a BL relationship. So let's see if Tencent will be adding another BL to the portfolio. Tencent is also behind The Untamed. Another rumor said that Xiao Zhan from the Untamed will be in another BL drama as a lead. Hope that he is not being typecasted.

I am hoping that they will do a special edition release with the main cast. Nothing against the actress that plays Jiheng, but I fast forwarded everything that includes her. The mortal arc was way too long. They should have shown more scenes with the happy family and not just the bonus scene in the boat.

You are right. It was a real disappoint for those who waited 2 years for the Eternal Love of Dream to get that terrible editing. The drama made more sense than the book, but they focused way too much on a minor character and messed up the ending.

This spinoff must have a bigger budget. The other one was like a test to see how fans will react to a spinoff.…
I wanted so much more after that look. So maybe the powers that be just want our reaction and do another spinoff with Nie HuaSang.

You're welcome. Now that the new guidelines are 40 episodes, you will see more dramas will be either have open ended endings or rushed endings. The most recent dramas all are like this. For example, Legacy, Eternal Love of Dreams, Legend of the Phoenix, etc. I would rather them announce a second season then to jumble up a drama with bad editing and a nonsensical ending.

Great minds think alike. ;) The last look on Ji Li's face/Nie Hua Sang's face was priceless.

They must have cut down to 50 episodes. The other characters have no closure.

I read somewhere that they plan 4-5 spinoffs. So we just have to wait to see what the other spinoffs will be like. IMHO, I think that they will see what the ratings are like for the first 2 and see what fans are saying before they do the others. Some fans are asking for more of Mo Xuanyu, Xue Yang/Song Lang/Xiao Xingchen. The latter was supposed to be a different story, but The Untamed included it. Some want to see the story about Nie Huasang's development into Director Nie. So we shall see what Tencent will do. This is their most profitable franchise.

I want part 2 and want too see more scenes of jin guangyao. The last scene of huaisang was hilarious. That look…
The last scene with Nie Huasang looking scary was my favorite. I hope that they do another
spin-off to show his revenge plotting. He went from mild mannered to director Nie. It brings so much more meaning to what he said to Lan Xichen in the Untamed. "Do you really know anybody? "
