I put off watching this drama for almost a year and ended up watching this and the spinoff movies almost 10 times. That does not include watching the concerts, interviews, and the behind the scenes. I may go back to watch it again when I am bored and there is nothing else out there that is good enough to watch.
My best friend is studying biochemical engineering right now and loves it. He wants to work in a lab. Since his Summer activities are canceled due to the pandemic, he plans to tutor organic chemistry online. I always tell him to not let others steal his lab experiments and apply Sun Tzu’s strategems.
Nothing wrong with your decision to go into science. My closest friends are all in the STEM fields, chemists, biochemical/biomedical engineers, robotists, etc. . The politics in the workplace is as stressful as a battlefield. So these strategies can be applied to any work place.
I think that they will take a while in post-production for the CGI and technical aspects due to the bigger budget. Hopefully, it will not be 2 years like the Eternal Love of Dream.
Thank you, the same to you. I think that Sun Tzu's work teaches life skills. I read somewhere online that Westpoint teaches it. Children in China are also taught this at a very early age so it is like in their blood. I am sure that Nie Huasang from the Untamed also studied Sun Tzu to become Director Nie. a. Borrow Another's Hand to Kill b. Watch the Fire Burning Across the River c. Knife Hidden Under the Smiling Face d. Attack When Near, Befriend when Distant e. Be Wise but Play the Fool f. Mutilate One's body hahaha!
Another great book that is on par with Sun Tzu is by Robert Greene. It is called the 48 Laws of Power. Here is the link for the animation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=670ZGMBjrPI
i do not watch chinese dramas because of female lead but my fav chines drama is untamed i like the chemistry of…
From one of the behind the scenes, Yubin/Wen Ning said that Xiao Zhan/Wei Wuxian and Wang Yi Bo/Lan Wangi were told to work on their onscreen chemistry. Xiao Zhan did it by playing and fighting with Yibo a lot. Hopefully, Arthur Chen will work Leo Luo on their onscreen chemistry. Else, it will look forced like what he has right now with his FL/Cheng Xiao in Legend of Awakening.
I finished the novel!! I really like the plot and the characters of MR and CWN. I hope the casts do justice to…
I am a big fan of Leo Luo ever since the drama Ashes of Love. I tried to love Arthur Chen in Legend of Awakening, but I feel like he did not give his all. Maybe he was better in Evernight. In my opinion, he had no growth for the last 3 years. Hoping that he will put 110% into Immortality.
I will be waiting.Until then, rewatching the Untamed for the 15th time.: )))
OMG, you 2. I have watched the Untamed and the Special Edition so many times that I lost count. You definitely need to watch 2 hour spinoffs of The Living Dead which is base on Wen Ning and Lan Sizhui/A Yuan. The Fatal Journey is so heart wrenching and is base on the Nie brothers and why we have Director Nie (Nie Huasang). There are also mini-interviews of the Untamed Boys band (in English) that explained their mindsets and how they tackled their roles. Nie Huasang/Ji Li was trained as a dubber. So he dubbed his own voice. The actor that played Jin Guang Yao auditioned for Lan Sizhui/A Yuan. The acting in the main drama and the Fatal Journey was very consistent. You will see another side of NieHuasang.
Guardian , The Untamed... Now this. I know it is gonna be good with this cast and story. (Of course unless they…
Both Guardian and the Untamed had great actors with less of a budget than this drama. I love Leo Luo, but I am not sure if Arthur Chen is the right fit for his roles. He did not seem to have growth in the past 3 years.
The book that Immortality is base on has lots of twists and turns more than the Untamed.
Does that mean our Yun Xi Luo finally gets "the girl"??? I can't be happier
Unless the scriptwriters change it from BL to a regular romance. That was what they tried with the Untamed by pairing up Wei Wuxian with Wen Qing, so fans revoked. They kept it BL.
@Yenki @ethidda thank you for your reply! I see this series is not generally liked, so I've decided to wait some…
Even without the BL, the storyline was soooo good. Every side character could have had his/her own spinoff.
As for BL, Wang Yibo can really act without saying a thing with his expressions. You can tell that there is more than friendship between him and Wei Wuxian. His fight scenes are epic with the way that he controlled his body on wires.

You really need to watch the Fatal Journey. In some ways, it is so much better than the Living Dead., because it tied back into the Untamed. The spinoff is all about the Nie brothers and their love for each other. It inspired Nie Huasang to do what he did and became Director Nie. Without him, Wei Wu Xian would not have had a second life to be with Lan Wanji. The book outlined his plan in detail better than the drama, but the last line in the drama that he said to Lan Xichen really explained how brilliant he was.
