I didn't see yet, what happened ? (put under spoiler)
It's really weird in this show because AePete had so many talks about consent and sex before they had sex for the first time and they handled that so well, but then we have a rape victim almost be raped again and that is brushed off.
So excited for this! I mean, Kiss Me Again was a bit of a mess during episodes 1 - 8, with a lot of violence, but it was always super entertaining. And episode 9-14 were so good. TayNew are so good together and I also love the second couple.
Ep. 13 seemed like a waste of an episode for me... nothing happened to move the plot (except the Tum/Tar scene).…
That scene was sort of was a coming out scene for Ae. I really loved it. I also liked their conversation about boundaries, expectations and dealing with their relationship. I liked the episode, but I have to agree it treaded water a bit, though.
I really love them. Kiss Me Again was really a crazy ride, but I was never bored with PeteKao, although their relationship was unnecessarily violent. But episodes 9-13 made up for it and I am excited!
OOH! I GET IT NOW... Originally, the series had a total of 13 episodes, but then suddenly it became 14 episodes.…
It feels to me that rather than just adding an extra episode, they added a few scenes to a few episodes and just padded. Even in episode 13 we saw a scene where everyone had different hairstyles and Perth looked taller.
I really hope AePete doesn't end in a cliffhanger. But it would make sense for all the other couples, since they are all in such early stages.
When I first started watching this chapter of the series, I, like a lot of people was not a happy camper. Then…
I couldn't disagree more. And, let's be real: in the very last episode they'll pull a happy ending out of nowhere, without really addressing any of the problems more than 15 minutes. Again, people seem to love TWW1 and that show had them happy in only 2 episodes out of 13. It was, however, much better written and directed. Even though it was ridden with clichés, like TWM2 is, at least had good character arcs and motivations.
If this was real life, this two would simply break up and find better people.
I kind of agree. Together With Me Next Chapter is so bad that almost ruins all my good memories. I am not a fan…
They could even have AEPete back, but as supporting characters, so they are happy in the background and other couples we barely explored can be the main story.
I kind of agree. Together With Me Next Chapter is so bad that almost ruins all my good memories. I am not a fan…
You could say that, technically, yes, but it was a very different show. It was more like a spin off, to be fair. I think a spin-off of Love By Chance with, say, TinCan or TechnoKengla as the leads, that I'd be down with.
Why is everyone so concerned about having/not having a second season ? I saw that even when the season started,…
I kind of agree. Together With Me Next Chapter is so bad that almost ruins all my good memories. I am not a fan of what the Love By Chance book has in store for a season two, which is basically the same story all BLs that are non-high school do: family tries to break the couple apart (Pete's father does that in the book).
Yet today he asked what Tin was going to buy him for another kiss... I don't mind character flaws. I mean, Tin was a jerk too not long ago. But right now I think he's being mean and rude. I hope that with only one episode left, there's some kind of resolution.
The directors are doing a great job only if their objective is to portray two awful people who do not belong together.…
You are putting words in my mouth I never said. I have repeated at least ten times that the problem is *not* that they're not happy as I imagined. At all. Please, don't do that. It's dishonest.
The show is poorly written because it has major continuity errors, like erasing major characters, retconning the timeline without explanation, trying to mesh together two storylines that don't go well together, failing to establish why we should root for the characters before throwing in very tired tropes and character arcs that they have already used before and now seem to reset. If you want to tell a story of a relationship that is tired, toxic and falling apart, you can, and you can do it well. But do that. Focus on that. But two episodes later you can't throw in the second most overused BL plot (our family wants to tear us apart) because, narratively speaking, "outside forces want to break us up" is a plot that requires the audience feel that the relationship is worth saving.
It's objectively poorly written. In Together With Me The series Korn and Knock were not shown to be happy until the very end and the plot was also cliché, but character work, tone and structure were much better. That is proof I can be perfectly fine with characters being in angst and miserable all the time if the story is compelling and the characters engaging.
He seems to be very rude towards Tin's feelings. It's OK if you are not interested, but stringing him along is a bit mean. It's almost like he is charging gifts and meals for a relationship when he used to make a big deal about not wanting to be bought.
