After watching Healer..I became a fan of Ji Chang Wook. He was my number one pick. But after watching this drama…
Addressing the two comments above :
1. Jamaicans know their culture better than you or me. If they find something racist in the drama..then it is racist. We are no one to question that because we are not Jamaicans or Black.
2. I never mentioned dreadlocks in my comment. Hault your assumptions.
After watching Healer..I became a fan of Ji Chang Wook. He was my number one pick. But after watching this drama I cannot say the same any more. I genuinely do not find this drama funny at all. It is a very immature .. childish drama.
And after seeing what JCW posted on his Instagram todat..I could see a lot of Jamaicans offended in the comment section. I had read someone here in the comment section saying lf the Jamaicans find the scenes offensive..it means they are. And now I can say the Jamaicans are indeed offended. I wish the creators were a little more considerate and less ignorant.
I had commented this earlier but it got lost in the ocean of comments. Does anyone know the English background track that plays when KSH was cooking for SYJ in EP 6?
Can anyone living in Korea care to educate me, because this is just my opinion. But I don't think Koreans in general…
I agree to your comment ..to some extent. While I do understand why they aren't in good terms with the Japanese and the North Koreans..but what I fail to understand why they discriminate brown/black people. The little knowledge that I gained after watching YouTube videos by black/brown people who went to South Korea mostly as English teachers..says that Koreans consider black/brown people as labourers who work on the fields..and hence they look down upon them. But ofcourse...newer generations are changing ..but still a very long way to go.
Sometimes, due to their ignorance..people do get hurt. I recently stumbled upon this video of Lee Hyori on YouTube..where she is dancing provocatively on a Hindu Mantra(prayer) known as the "Gayatri Mantra". It is very sacred to the Hindus. She is recieving a lot of flak on the comment section..but the video is still up and she hasn't apologised yet.
When such famous artists perform such stints without any research about other cultures ..it certainly leaves a bad and impression.
Can anyone please tell me the English song that was playing on the background when Kim Soo Hyun cooked food for her and asked her to eat..in today's episode ?
They did a fantabulous job by casting Seo Ye Ji as Moon Young. She's just fantastic . This is my first drama of hers and she has earned a fan. Such a fine actress.
And the chemistry is bang on. The leads compliment each other so well.
Y in cdrama most of FL are child like and speak like childddddd....
Because probably they think .."if I am 20+ and speak like a kid ..people will think I am young and cute..lol ".
Honestly, I am so done with the actresses who try to act childish..quite obviously. High time ..they should start acting their age. There's nothing wrong in it. People do age... and that's natural. Not blaming the actresses completely..the directors are equally responsible.
Very unpopular opinion. But I am actually a fan of Jung Eum ever since I saw her for the first time in Secret. Then saw her in Kill me heal me. She definitely shines whenever she is with Ji Sung I must say. Their chemistry is top notch.
I haven't watched the 1st episode of this drama yet. Waiting it to air completely so that I can binge watch.
This drama had potential. But now I think even the makers are not sure exactly what they want to create. The character development is really confusing. No wonder the ratings dropped from 10 to 8.3 in 15 days.
The pairing is cute . Both the actors complement each other. But the deal ends there.
Never have I seen a lakorn as satisfying as Kluen Cheewit. I had expectations from this one since the synopsis was very unique and something different. But the execution is really bad.
Oh no! I hate when dramas are xenophobicEdit: OK, I've watched the show now. The screenwriters could have chosen…
Agreed. But the makers could've chosen better dialogues without being offensive to a community especially when it's related to a culture..about which they know nothing.
I am on episode 1. And the piece of music that they called "tasteless noise and funny" at around 35:00 of this episode..is a type of the many Indian classical music(years old). I get that it is very different from the modern music but the makers should have done some research before making fun of it. This was quite offensive. China please grow up !! There's also a world outside China.
I haven't started this drama yet. I only watch the clips on Instagram. And to be honest... more than anything I find Woo Do Hwan's scenes the best. He is such a treat to the eyes in this drama.
Maybe pay attention in history class and study korean culture, then maybe it would’ve made since you you
Yeah yeah. After posting pages long comments you say..."I don't care". Bruhhh !!
Also, you know movies can have a good storyline and still make no sense if the acting and execution is bad ??
When I say I learnt about the Korean history from movies and dramas I really meant it. I came to know about the names of the dynasties and rulers from them only. I never said I am a pro. But I see you have this weird habit of nitpicking. Historical dramas can be fictional and historical dramas can be based on true sevents. Isn't this obvious? Do I have to mention everything for you to understand ?
Anyway if you are stuck on my initial comment on Korean history..later I made it clear I don't know much about it and the little that I know..I have learnt it from Korean Dramas and movies. Still you do not seem to move on. You are even more stubborn than I am ..lol !!
Also, you might have all the free to learn about Korean history in this quarantine. But not everyone is as privileged as you. So keep your assumptions to yourself. Some of us watch dramas and movies to have a break from our schedule.
Lastly, if you really want to fight... don't do it with me. Fight the Corona virus. You'd be helpful to the society. Bye! :)

Don't you say "Are you drunk?" when somone acts crazy. It's just means "what's wrong with you??"
Since when does satire become rude?
Anyway, it's very subjective. To each his own.
So disappointed.
