This was a good watch. But the pace could have been better. The last episode was unnecessary. I watched this just after watching "Mouse" and I have to say , though FOE has better ratings than "Mouse", I liked Mouse way more than "FOE". Both are crime-thrillers, involving psychopaths, hence the comparison.
But Lee Joon Gi is an amazing actor. Her sister in the show was really dumb. And hats off to the casting team. The teen version of Joon Gi looks exactly like adult Joon Gi.ππ
So I am seeing a lot of hate on the character "Naksu" because people wanted a spicier ending for her character…
I just wanted Naksu/CY to take her long due revenge from the evil Jin Mu. They gave a very easy death to him. He wasn't even in pain when he was dying. He made her father run wild..he made her run wild...caused a lot of suffering to a lot of people. So it's only reasonable, why we as an audience were expecting a fight between Naksu/CY and Jin Mu.Logic, in a fantasy drama should be the last thing to consider.
I think people wanted badass Naksu so bad that they forget she's not Naksu anymore. She's Cho Yeong, even when…
Umm, to me it was a wasted potential. Because she was introduced as a strong character and that's what attracted many to the show, as a physically strong lead. But in this season there wasn't a single fight scene. JU clearly said Jin Mu's death is a revenge that shoud be taked by Naksu/CY. But his death was so weird. He deserved a much more painful death. He wasn't even afraid while he was dying.
Even the other Jin daughter's character was totally wasted. She was just reduced to a messanger in this season. In season 1 she had a strong presence and even a fight scene. I enjoyed only Seo Yul's fighting scenes because to me, he had the best directed fighting scenes.
Was that the end of Jin Mu,the most evil character of the show? All that build up for that ending? Not to mention, the members of the unanimous assembly and the King(the most powerful person) were so useless and powerless. I thought Naksu would slay Jin Mu like a badass, as she was in season 1. Afterall it was her revenge to be taken. But we never got to see that in season 2. A potential badass female character wasted. Even the fight scenes were just meh, considering the build up and scale of the drama. For being an action-fantasy drama, the fierce action was truly missing. There were fierce talks and fierce entries, but the fierce action was missing.
2nd season was disappointing. 7/10
P.S.- Don't come at me please. This is how I feel about the 2nd season. Alo, I want to add that out of the 4 characters that the FL lead played, "Mudeok" was written the best. This character had a proper beginning and a satisfactory ending.
wait, wait, wait...You mean to tell me the writers could not have added another character to that scene who could…
She is behaving like a free-spirited animal who has seen freedom for the first time after 3 years. "Rubbing against multiple men" sounds so wrong. Idk about the writers..but your words are disgusting.
And btw, the intimate scenes btw FL and multiple men you are talking about consists of the ML and SML. Both of them have romantic interests in her.
If you think her interactions with the crown prince is also intimate, then you got a problem.
She is married, he is her husband best friend and have romantic interest in her. Even though he is unconscious…
Well the drama also doesn't have men who were locked up for 3 years and are seeing freedom for the first time after 3 years.
The very fact ,that you think, the female lead making friends and hugging her friends, is "not pure".. and the male lead who hasn't done all of this is "pure"...is problematic and misogynistic.

They could have added, but even if they didn't, there shouldn't be a problem.
It can be a problem to those who think giving CPR to someone is the same as kissing someone, like I said above. Those people are the ones who are finding the scene disgusting.
Also, the directors could have done a lot of things instead of doing a lot of things, because they are the ones directing the drama, not us, so deal with it. This is fiction.

What a filthy, misogynistic comment. Yul is her friend. She is seeing freedom for the first time after being locked alone for 3 years. Married women aren't supposed to give friendly hugs to male friends? So toxic.

Don't give it a thought, just watch it..
