Are there any novel readers who read both " Peach blossom" and "Pillow book" Chinese version?

Can u pls explain how many times Donghua goes to mortal realm for his trail ? Since in the book peach blossom it says Donghua was born as the emperor father of Yuan Zhen and the love triangle happens b/w emperor , his concubine Chen (fengjiu) & his son Yuan Zhen.. but in the novel "Pillow book" the triangle happens between the emperor (who didn't have any ex empress turned taotist nun or son) , his concubine and his general Qingti !!

Someone pls explain this part

Unpopular opinion: I was rooting for shin se gi till the end.. cha do hyun looks like the fake personality of shin se gi ;)

One of the best light-heart comedy drama.. as expected these type of genre always makes me feel more for the second lead (He zhen)

Plot turned out be way better than wat i imagined.

Novel came first!! Love and destiny is like a spin-off of TMOPB (which is based on a popular novel of the similar name) in a diff universe. Surprisingly the scriptwriter has managed to make this drama unique from TMOPB so they have chosen the next part of the NOVEL which is called "pillow book" to copy from!! (Not everything but still very important parts )

Second lead syndrome is really strong in this drama

I get what u mean it's definitely Because of her appearance, if sangsang had looked like mo Shan then your views would be different. Sangsang appearance is child like for a reason (in the novel) and trust me no one else would have been a perfect fit than ireine for this role. Even In novel ninq que has lot of girls falling for his charm, many can suit him very well because they are attractive girls with exceptional skills who can compliment ning que but sang sang is totally different , she is not like normal humans in litreal sense. It's like sangsang & ning que litreally wouldn't have survive without each other and can't be sperated from one other.

I love sangsang, if u read the novel u'll understand why she is the way she is, both ning que and sangsang are like yin & yang in some aspects & both are equally important for the main plot (u'll understand it once the secret is revealed abt sangsang identity). Sangsang & ningque compliment each other Really well which is why I liked the season 1 Because the cast was just perfect the actors who played ningque & sangsang were like made to play their role. Their chemistry was so different and unique compared to other couples of the similar genre. Unfortunately the change in cast has taken away that magical aspects about them!! Season 2 feels like a complete different drama than sequel to ever night!!

Am I the only who can't connect to ning que after the cast change? I don't know why but Arthur potrayed ning que so well with his carefree attitude that it becomes diffcult to imitate for the new actor (Dylan wan). the ning que in part 2 feels like a whole different character than the pervious one (for obvious reasons) I wish the team had just waited for the original actors to do the sequel instead of rushing it by casting new ones!!

I just realized that they litreally copied the ending of "three lives, three worlds, the pillow book" but in reverse/opposite.

Wu zhu became one of my fav characters of all time. His storyline with ML's mom & later with ML was more interesting than the main couple!

The only part i didn't understand is that why nai dated khae when he keeps saying "I was always waiting for nok love"?? How does that work? If khae hadn't betrayed him he would have married her so what's with this "10 years of one-sided love for nok" ?

Best Chinese historical drama so far..
Cast , plot, Cinematography, and music is top notch, especially the main leads with amazing acting skills.. It never felt like the actress is forcing herself to look cute, timid or strong and fierce. And the actor who did the job of a warrior general to the perfection. Their acting was so natural that the characters felt real, the journey felt relatable!

It's a must watch for a period drama!

Me too, it just felt hyped by the viewers where the story didn't have that kind of depth to it..

Many scene were strerotype u see normally in Asian drama and it didn't have raw emotions at all...
the story of ming lan (2018)was the last best series I have seen.. 2019 haven't given it's best yet

Best revenge series I have ever seen.. I don't mind slow placed series but Personally I felt like they could have covered the first half (before leads r married) within 20 episode instead of taking 30+ episodes.. apart from that everything in this drama is well thought out, well potrayed. It's doesn't feel one-sided like princess wei-young .. situations/difficulties are made as realistic as possible so the final outcome becomes very satisfying to watch.. LEAD CHEMISTRY is 10/10, they did a spectacular job..

Had high expectations for this drama, but I'm slightly disappointed since everything felt rushed.. the emotional impact got reduced because of lack of depth in the presentation of the plot

If anyone is interested in reading book.. try hamster version, they did wonderful job in translating as accurate as possible with difficult Chinese lan..

I'm praying for the same thing, I wish the synopsis is wrong.. the book is brilliant and the actors are perfect.. the combo can make this the top drama of this year if only the team doesn't mess up by adding it's own story version

I also feel the same, they are making major changes in the drama.. the actors are the only saving grace ..they are on point in potraying fengjiu and donghua , I can't imagine anyone else than them playing these 2 characters
