Book has more cute moments than the drama (season 1) The story is also different in season 1 since they hadn't bought the copyright for pillow book at that time
From my understanding, it is pretty much like the book except the real world is a bit different from the book.
Donghua POV is completely different in drama.. they are insinuating that he has forgotten love as the reason he pushed Feng jiu away in the synopsis. It kind of takes away a lot of special moments from the book since donghua was nothing like that towards Feng jiu also I feel that demon princess , yan chiwu role will be completely different from the book as well( can't say more for spoiler reason)
I have read the book, it's so freaking gud.. Feng jiu and donghua prove their everlasting love for one other in thier own way, so the book is majorly in two persons point of view mainly Feng jiu's, and the moments b/w them is so unique and unlike any other couples similar to this genre.. but unfortunately the synopsis of the drama shows that team is only picking few parts from the book and heading into a new direction which makes the story completely different from the book :(
