I think the mortal arc with emperor Song and general Qing Ti was explored in chunks in both book, mostly at the…
I remember FJ did not intervene in emperor's actions and was wife of Ye Qing TI general who gave life to save her from being killed by a deamon. Seriously cannot recall anything from the books. So I'm surprised they explore it this much and from ep. previews seem there's more change in this mortal arc - and FJ did get involved. But we'll see.
It was important to show how Jiheng felt about DongHua at the very begining and it will be relevant to main love…
well, I want to see shadow part bcs it should be highly related to main arc, but this Emperor-Consort-General thing wasn't interesting that much in the books. But seems drama will be sightly different with it :P
Honestly i'm confused to answer this question haha. There are arcs that are happening in the same timeline with…
Yeah, exactly. Now is time before the wedding. Now it's first period of FJs infatuation in DH. Soon, we will see to see FJ and DH separately descending to mortal realm. Then should be wedding and first fruitful encounter between them. Seeing Ah Li is misleading ?
I don't really understand from where is the backlash coming from. I mean, if the ones criticizing are the ones…
exactly. I binged 10 eps now and can confirm FJ growth in maturity is visible already (actually pretty fast) starting from ep. 9 Knowing the story from the books I can confirm that it's good to know "teenage" years and childishness of FJ to better understand her later choices and journey. So far story is developed very accurately to the novel. There are differences, but reasonable - not to have too many side characters. And seem like we will know more about story of FJ as Consort Chen - I mentally skipped this part :P I'm looking forward to first memorable meeting of DH&FJ =D not the brief with hidden identity :P
I must say they really do justice to the books - so far dialog and story is very on point aside from being linear instead of scattered memories from FJ - it will make easier to understand and see FJ's growth - i suppose. Although I loved the very beginning of the book and FJ showing up on the shore. =D
