The directing style of this movie is unusual. Not really comic, but kinda similar with interesting angles and transitions. Reminds me a bit of 2010's Bunraku movie.
Sequel? You are kidding, right? Is this movie just a introduction to a longer story? Maybe then it will make sense.…
It looks like a beginning of the bigger story, so the sequel was thought. I doubt there will be any since it was a box office flop that made them lose millions.
The social criticism is thin and a bit caricatural in this one. The first part applies to what was done in Russia and Qatar (and probably many more) for the profit of big sport's events. The scene where kids play in the ruins is iconic.
