She is , but in some of the episodes there is a rumor that she is trans and that the guy is actually gay/weird for liking a transgender. Usual prejudice and hate... They dealt the theme actually quite well for a Chinese drama saying basically that people should mind their own business and that love is love.

I don't think any publishing house would dare to release something that could be deemed as "pornography and illegal publication". Even if you self-publish it you can get a fine or be imprisoned. There was a case of an author getting 10 years in jail for a BL novel that sell only like 7000 copies, not to mention selling as much as Jingming did...

They don't publish them in China. They simply can't. There are stories published online or novels published in Taiwan for example, but not in China.

The characters are so addicting. I want them as friends irl.
