The girl is a popular news reporter that has $$. He is just a special police so he is prob afraid that he doesn't have the $ or career to keep a girl like her as in a lot of Chinese society... the guy is suppose to be making more or at least competitive in making $.

Oh yes, exactly my guess. Every cdrama got high rating at the beginning & getting lower & lower towards the end…
Some super fans likely brigade at 10 in the begining. As with most Cdrama, the first half is usually really enjoyable and then it starts to drag especially if the series is too long.

Before I dropped it, DOTS seems more serious. This show is more cute romance set inside a police / hospital storyline setting.

I am half way with both series. I thin the relationship seems more realistic/possible with gg2. I don't understand why people think that the GG1 leads need another series for their story. There is nothing else to say! Marriage, kids. house , divorce, death etc. The spark is gone after the 1st few years, the rest is the boring and mundane.

maybe i am watching the wrong cdrama, but it seems they still need a lot to work on as the top kdrama are emotionally more complex. IMO both are from confucian style society, but cdrama gets hinder by censorship laws
