I don't know how accurate it is, but it might make sense since it seems normal to try to marry off princess to diff tribes/provinces for peace. In the show, they wanted to marry off Le Yan off to the nomadic tribe hence her dad tried to send her off to a medical resort.

If by watching the show, i don't get the extreme shipping for the 2nd couple since they only been onscreen together for maybe 10 mins in the past 18 episodes

I think they spend the money where it is needed to tell the story. The big war scenes aren't consider a large part of the character development. For example, they did show the battle part for Chingge when she took revenge

Prob the most exciting Cdrama that I have followed. Not much pointless filler or dialogue (ie evernight 1) either for a long series.

Another great thing about it is that there doesn't seem to be much boring filler plot that you normally see in the 50 ep series

Spoil? She avoid capture and death a few times at this point. Changge studied all of tangs/ her uncles sucessful offensive strategy which complimented shuzhou because they have been mostly just using defensive strategy. She might not have been better than a battle harden commander but she had the right skill that they needed at that particular time.

They should of at least showed real footage of some troops clashing before cutting to the drawings

It's not as bad as other series imo as it builds the story up.
